Yeah, the "can't verify price" is just Discover giving us the middle finger. $100+ items claiming down to $10 or less seems to be a trigger. Also, I think the volume of claims you file plays a part. Also, the rep. Some act as if it MUST be a price mistake without even bothering to call the damn store (cuz if they had, they would have got the same info from the store that the approved people did)... Fck em.

Not quite sure what you mean? "They" as in Discover or "they" as in the people filing the claims?

Anyways, the "can't verify price" I was referring to is when the item is actually still in the system at the price the claim was for meanwhile they approving other people for the same claim and store. I've had a few now that were denied & ended up just refiling for a higher price since they were items I wanted other than one item.

I don't see it as the "end of the world". It's whatever. But it does happen.

Store prices have dropped to $69 but maybe oos or very limited. rebuy or do dpp or luck up and find one in the rafters.

i literally have loaded this grill on brickseek 3-5 times a day checking stock and price updates for changes...$69 price drop was over a month ago, and every store i ever saw was OOS that changed that price. Within the last 3 days though, stores with stock that had random prices like $237 $247 and even afew oos $69 have reverted to full blown retail $288. Its a shame.

That's probably from all those stores getting calls from Discover to verify pricing for price protection claims. Once the price goes back up people can't use them for DPP and as such stop using screenshots from those stores for it and the calls stop.

So I'm on day 24 of waiting for an "approved" status on a DPP claim. Anyone wait longer? I called twice so far and have been told to wait the full 30 days. I'm starting to lose hope.

My last one was summited on 9/6 and it was approved 9/13. The item was out of stock.

Is this your first claim? Dont lose hope it will get approved if everything was proper
They took 30 days to approve my first claim to approved status, i used call every week but was asked to wait 30 days

Probably my 10th. What I'm worried about is the return window closing before it gets approved.

Worst case, file a claim under Discover's Return Guarantee....only thing is that you will end up paying shipping to Discover.
