For those who missed the earlier sale, looks like the Air Pods Pro are back at $199.99 on Amazon and B&H.

Last time I got a fake pair even though Amazon was the seller. It may be worth a little more to buy from a legit retailer and save some hassle.
So you paid 208.89 then
The color was off on one of them (it was sort of yellowish) and it wouldn't do transparency/NC modes. Also the serial showed up with Apple as already having Applecare+ as of 6 months prior even though it came sealed in the box. It was just weird overall. I returned it to Amazon and bought it at Sam's when they had it for $220. I think I remember Staples had it for $199 too but I already had the Sam's one.

I get that this is a good deal. But Apple just announced they're replacing everything early next year. Waiting til Black Friday or Christmas will likely yield 25% below this price. Next year these will probably be in the ~120 range.

Wanna make a bet? I am willing to put money that neither of those scenarios will happen.

Edit: For clarification, I don't think it is because it is worth the price but rather it is Apple and they would rather discard their products than to discount them.

Airpods look sweet until you have to throw them away after a couple of years because the battery is dying, making them the least durable headphones I have ever owned.

Applecare, you get them replaced in 1.5 years. That gives a bit more longevity.
Agreed though, its horrible but they are the best all around earbuds.

A couple of years can differ for a lot of people. How many hours of use per day/ week do you use them?

All the reviews say this is the best earbud for iphone but they never explain why other options are better for android. Does anyone know why I shouldn't get this as an android user?

A lot of features is disabled for Android users. Since the app for these airpods are in app store only not in Google play, you can't use the noise canceling feature or the spatial sound or controlling the equalizer.

What app are you talking about (for clarification, there is no such app on iOS)? Noise cancelling and transparency definitely works on Android. Spatial audio should not work on Android, but that feature is pretty limited as is. Also, what equalizer? There is no built in EQ as far as I am aware of. Only EQ are within other apps like Spotify.

They pretty much always are. If you know how to hunt for deals you find them throughout the year.

Yeah I've noticed that most BF deals kind of suck if you're a regular SD user.

Do these earphones make sense to buy if the batteries die within 2-3 years? $200 for non-user serviceable earphones that will need to be disposed in 2-3 years... I want them though.

Sure did. And if you would have bothered to read the post I replied to and totaled the amt paid to include the Gift card and the cash cost you would have seen the OP said INCLUDING TAX so it was factored it.

No it's not. They are crap for video call audio quality, as are most wireless non-dedicated mics. Most don't know their audio quality is bad because they never listen to themselves. Download something like Manycam and use the audio monitor mode to see how you really sound to others.

Yes, get applecare so you can get a replacement under warranty in 1-2 years.
