We need to buy like crazy now so WD thinks demand is way higher and raise production. Then we all stop buying, forcing them to lose money storing excess finished goods. That'll lower the price.

Edit: Seems like I should note, this is not a recommendation, just a facetious expansion of what the other guy meant.

After researching, I settled on the 12's for best tech at the price. Above 12 had something different if I recall correctly... maybe someone else has the data in front of them or can remember. Maybe it is platter count or something?

I believe $15/TB is the general consensus of a good deal. This is slightly higher, but not much. I cant say anything for the 16TB models, but the 12TB models (easystore and elements) have been good to me so far.
