This isn't the lowest it's been, but Newegg has the Seagate 1TB SSD expansion card on shell shocker deal for $198 after 10% off code 93XRK24.

also anyone with a Discover card can get an additional 5% cash back by using PayPal to pay. bringing it down to $188.10 which is on par with the lowest it's been so far.

Someone Please wake me again when these are $99 or less

Then I'll only feel slightly violated

I feel more violated by the zero options Sony has given for the ps5 so far.

I still don't see how they can justify that price. Hahah I bought a 1TB external hard drive for $60 and use instead.

Sure it won't okay Series X/S games from the external….but that's like 2 games right now. Haha but it plays all Xbox One.
That's like saying I bought a toaster for $15 and sure it can't make smoothies like a $200 blender but it can make toast so blenders are overpriced....

Even compared to other 1TB nvme drives, these are offensively priced.

Imagine people saying Microsoft had the better storage solution when this got announced. Their would have been riots in the streets....

Ok. Bad choice of words but you know what I mean. Boy have the tables turned.

For those that are seriously curious what you get with each option we have (this expansion, External SSD, or External HDD)... here's a quick speed breakdown I found on the subject:

Top performing nvme 4.0 aren't much cheaper than this. Got to remember these things are hella fast.

Exactly. Top performing gen 4 names are about this drives speed and price. Amazing how fast people forget you pay for performance as much as you pay for convenience. These really aren't that over priced compared to fast gen 4 nvme's.

Those complaining are either too poor to play in the big leagues, clueless about technology, or fan Bois.
