How does that work? Not buying the integrated if you plan to buy discrete later— where does the video come from in the meantime?
of 16MB vs 32MB if you go the 5800x route + higher max boost clock.
The same applies with the 5600G vs 5600X. That's why the other poster mentioned that its best to stick to the others if you plan to pair with a discrete GPU.

If you plan to pair it with a GPU that you can and are getting now, then sure. That's a relevant thing to point out. If you can't and aren't getting a GPU now, then it's pointless to bring it up at all because you need video out.

Yep. This year will probably be one of the worst if not worst BF/CM of all time because of the supply chain shortages. There will hardly be any incentives for discounts. If you need something that you see a sale between now and then, I would pull the trigger.
Or should I stick to a 5800/5900? I don't game anymore and was thinking this APU could let me offload my gpu.
I am also on a 1700X and decided to pull the trigger on this when I got an open box for $175, and a BX550 motherboard for $71 open box and with a $20 discount for buying them both together it was a good deal at MC. This only has 16 MB of L3 cache, but I think that only affects a handful of games that rely heavily on the L3 cache such as Valorant. But in most workloads it's usually within roughly 10% or so of the 5600X, and IMHO it should be quite a significant upgrade from the 1700X. Good luck!
