Best Buy ($850): https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hise...Id=6457435

Been looking at this, was $950 yesterday and $1050 regular price. Rtings has good reviews and they considered the 65" version their best budget TV.

I decided to buy this because it has full array local dimming, Dolby Vision/Atmos, Quantum dot color, 4 HDMI ports, good reviews overall, and is huge for the $$$. I considered the Samsung 70" TVs on sale from BB and Costco, but they only have 2 HDMI ports and this will primarily be used by my kids, who already have 4 things connected via HDMI. I was a bit hesitant because of the lack of HDMI 2.1, but I don't really think that will be a factor for the next 5ish years for them. Current family room TV is a 10 year old 46" 1080p Sharp Aquos...so lack of HDMI 2.1 is not a deal breaker.

QLED isnt an attempt to "fake" oled.

While the word OLED describes the display technology, QLED describes the type of LED screen this is which means it uses quantum dot technology to achieve a wider range of color and saturation across the color space.

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago. Definitely worth it at this price.

Wish the 65 would go back on sale. Maybe tomorrow.

Basically makes zero difference unless you play video games at 120 hz, which is a very small fraction of consumers.

I have this tv but in 55". At $850 it's a steal. Picture and colors are terrific.

My only complaint is Bluetooth pairing with a non-Hisense branded sound bar is pretty much impossible. I ended up having to do an HDMI pass through to get it to work.

What's the usual sale price on the 65". I see Costco has it currently for 690 and with Roku, which I prefer.

How does this compare with Vizio MQ6 75" which is at $899 on best buy?

Rtings.com comments: "The Hisense U6G is much better overall than the Vizio M6 Series Quantum 2021. The Hisense delivers better picture quality because it has a local dimming feature (which the Vizio doesn't have), gets significantly brighter, and doesn't show any upscaling artifacts with low-resolution content like the Vizio. The Android TV app store on the Hisense has a massive selection of apps available, and you can't download any extra apps on the Vizio. On the other hand, the Vizio has FreeSync VRR support, which the Hisense doesn't."

Funny I never saw it in my searches until now. And I can get it tomorrow if I want. So not imaginary.

I went in store and they couldn't find it. So I just ordered it online. Since it still said there was one available. Will see if it gets cancelled.

I was all set to buy this awhile back but then I saw somewhere that it had the motion smoothing soap opera effect always on with no way to turn it off? Anyone that owns this know if that is true? My wife and I hate the soap opera look. Thanks.

I have this tv and used rting settings which turned it off. Forgot the name of it but take a look at the review in rtings.

It is by far one of my favorite tvs for the price and quality. I paid 1k for this at the time as well.

In my opinion, it's better than my Samsung NU8000 that is the media room.

A week before I bought a Samsung and the picture was horrible. Retuned it for this tv.
I bought this Tv a few days ago. Amazon had it for $849 and BB priced matched it. This tv is way better than anything else this size for the price point. Samsung, LG doesn't have anything for this price range and rtings.com rates it decent. I'm happy with this purchase. Not using the smart tv part of it. Just hooked up my Apple TV 4K. It's super bright and looks amazing

Which Samsung did u have
