You do you bro. No need to come in the thread and explain yourself. Nobody buys a mac for gaming.

Productivity is very subjective. Old school .exes, you're better off with Windows, but if you're not living in the 90s, most things run in a browser these days.

I was lucky to get a open box excellent @1457. It only had 3 cycles on the battery and works fine and was able to add apple care+ and thanks again.
which i will never understand.
are people that clumsy to want accidental coverage on the laptops (ive never once broke a laptop from accidents in the 20 yrs or so ive worked with them) or are people that unsure of apple quality that they have to have the warranty to cover hardware failure (i've had one windows laptop and one mba go bad on me in the same 20 yrs through tons of different laptops).

get a good deal on open box, only to negate any cost benefit and adding on hundreds on top with this applecare thing and just giving apple your $$ like its nothing, for quite frankly, nothing unless apple product is horrible or if you just are one heck of a clumsy person. in either case, it just doesnt make any sense to me. for the former, you shouldnt be getting an apple perhaps. and for the latter, maybe you should resort to desktops and just keep laptops away from you.

for everything else, no one should ever just waste their money on this applecare crap.
their so called warranty doesnt even cover your accidents fully either and you have to pay for each incident, on TOP of what you already paid for the applecare PLUS tax.

"AppleCare+ purchase date and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage protection every 12 months, each subject to a service fee of $99 for screen damage or external enclosure damage, or $299 for other accidental damage, plus applicable tax."

Jaw dropping deal, This is the lowest price ever.. how come price of this model is slashing down that deep? I actually never thought this can go down beyond 1700 ever but This price 1600 makes it no brainer over macbook air M2.
Advantage Macbook Air M2 has is it lighter. For myself, I would easily buy this if I was in the market for a personal laptop, because I'm ok with 3.5 lbs, and I want the better display. For my wife, her 13" 2017 MacBook Air is already heavier than she'd like, and this is heavier but the M2 is lighter. Magsafe is an absolute requirement so can't get an M1. A properly spec'd Air M2 is a too expensive. We're both doing ok with our Intel Macs, though, so will keep waiting.

Yes. I think Costco extended it to 9/25. Might want to double check.

Idk maybe the income tax, the additional road fees when you renew your registration, the new state fees on utility bills. Most of it get wasted due to incompetency. Also there are different sales tax % in every country and state and for $1600 difference between 6% and 10% is still significant not to mention CA for example has recycling fee you gotta pay for a brand new item lol

I bought this from Costco by convincing my wife to snag the deal while it's there, then decide whether or not we need the computer. Now I have an unopened MBP sitting on my desk. It's TORTURE!

Lol then how do you explain states/municipalities with no sales tax? Do they not have infrastructure there?

I could give you the answer, but I'll let you think it over until you come up with it lol

Except if he was in those municipalities, he wouldn't pay sales tax then… Are you being obtuse on purpose? You know retailers collect sales tax from online purchases rather than expecting people to self-report? So if he lived in Delaware with no sales tax, tax can't kill the deal because there is no tax.

For being so condescending, you could do with a little reading comprehension yourself.

I picked one up at Cherry Hill NJ store during no tax week, plus used At&t reward cards when signing up Fiber internet service ( $1,600 - $350 = $1,250 out of door)

BB Checkout says only 10% cash back when opening BB credit card and purchasing within 1 day of opening. Is the 15% deal dead or am I doing something wrong here?
thx
