You do you bro. No need to come in the thread and explain yourself. Nobody buys a mac for gaming.

Productivity is very subjective. Old school .exes, you're better off with Windows, but if you're not living in the 90s, most things run in a browser these days.

Display Support
Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display at 1 billion
colors and:
Up to two external displays with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz at over a billion colors (M1 Pro) or
Up to three external displays with up to 6K resolution and one external display with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz at over a billion colors (M1 Max)

Hope it helps!

this is the "pro" tier of MacBook Pro so this does support multiple monitors without issue

....or you can add a DisplayLink dock (on the PC side they're pretty much all DisplayLink at this point, if they're USBC) and install the Mac DL driver, and you're GTG (with more than 2 external displays, I mean).
And You As Well,

Thank you. Wink

In for one - found in stock in Silver about 30 mi away. Great deal on an incredibly capable machine. Upgrading from a Mid 2025 15" 16GB Retina. New screen is almost as big with better resolution in smaller form factor. Keyboard is awesome--great key response--best i've used since my old thinkpads. This M1 Macbook is a special little machine.
Good to know. I have a 2014 15" 16gb retina. Due for an upgrade. Debating on this versus waiting for the m2. But hard to pass up what will be $500 in savings at least. Biggest thing for me is going from 15" to 14". I really like the 16" but just don't feel like spending $1000 more for it. But I do like the screen real estate especially when traveling. Anything else you found that was a benefit of the 14 after upgrading?

14 fits on airline seats without taking your ($1500) life in your hands every time the person in front of you reclines.

I found 16 far too big and bulky to be a side device. If you already have a desktop or good external displays I think 14 is the best choice no question

Did you receive the 15% rewards?
I can see that my $240 is pending, so I am sure that I will receive it. In the terms it says about availability on 15th day after shipping. Not sure if it counts after shipping, since my return window is for 15 days until Sep 27. Probably will not see until then.
You can check it in your account - rewards points section. On the bottom it should be listed as pending.

When did the rewards show up as pending? After shipping or after getting delivered? I am yet to pick up from store and mine showing nothing as pending.

Not sure when. But the bestbuy website claims that it was there from Sep 2 (initial order date).

This will be my primary computer. So either plugged into an external display at home or by itself on the road. Never will be a side computer. Always my only one.

Above you can read my experience, so if you're not experiencing the same, something is very wrong.

This isn't an "ARM based Macbook" problem. Something is going wrong. You might have other tasks running in the background consuming CPU, you might have a bandwidth issue, you might have something else going on.

Install brew (https://brew.sh/), run stats (brew install stats at the terminal), show your stats at all times, and try to build correlations between what's going on and how busy your system is.
It crashed again. Crashed twice so far since owning this Macbook. People on the Macforums told me to have it replaced. But I know this is a common issue with SC:BW and M1 Macbooks.

Based on what exactly? Who says it crashes and is a common issue?

No app should be able to crash a modern OS. If it can there is a fundamental problem that must be addressed by app and OS vendor.
