The M1 Pro didn't have slow SSD speeds on the base model like the M2 Pro does.

Got these on the 3000 for 2 deal at costco a while back. Wanted to keep one and sell one but ended up gifting the other to a family member. No regrets, blazing fast and laptop fan is so quiet and cool I wondered if they exists. Only thing I dislike is the weight, but that's only during I take it out or throwing it in my backpack.

This is fine, if you don't care about the SSD speeds on benchmarks, wait for the 2023 to go back to $1799. This 2021 version has been this price since before Black Friday when it was still the current model. Was expecting a bigger drop now that's it's no longer top of the line.

Solid deal. I ended up buying an open box of the same model at Best Buy for $1408 last week. I don't regret it but <$200 more for a brand new one is a good price imo.
