So this is both helpful and illustrates the problem with this laptop. If you have to limit the wattage that much then buy a different laptop that will give you better performance and probably run cooler. Also battery life is not anywhere near the 8-10 hours people claim it is, unless you mess around a lot and limit the computer. Also ips bleed and overall bad qc for multiple things.

It's pretty stilly to have to power limit it. Why pay extra for the power if you can't use it.

Any thoughts on the vs the 2021 version with RTX3060 for about $300 less? I've ordered both and now have to decide which one to return. Does anyone have experience with both of them? TIA

2022 version is much improved over previous version. Way faster 4.9ms gtg screen response, 16:10 aspect ratio, and perhaps the biggest change is addition of the mux switch. Tons of little improvements, 720p camera with face unlock. Face unlock works extremely well in my case. For some reason this is a pretty rare feature for gaming laptops, even Lenovo Legion laptops don't have face unlock. 50% larger glass touch pad. It is the best I have ever used. It's nice and big and is just soooo smooth and slick it's like your fingers are gliding on air. I don't know how they got it that slick, It's smoother than the glass touchpad on my MBP and way smoother than touch pad on Lenovo Legion 5i Pro. IMO 2022 version is so much improved that it's not even close between the two.

Jarrod does a very good job at being very detailed when reviewing laptops IMO. My go to source for figuring out what's good and what's the difference.

Another hot tip: This laptop is white with very light cream colored keyboard. I'm just going to say it's white for simplicity sake, either way it doesn't matter. Cream or white, white backlight is very hard to see on it since it blends in with keys to the point it's almost useless. Some users turn it off completely. When keyboard is black and backlight is white, you have nice sharp contrast between the two and lit keys appear sharp and clearly visible. So I was playing in armory crate trying to find a backlight color that would contrast very well with white keys and make it easy to see them. Some darker colors like red, contrasted pretty good, but because they were darker, they were blurry and not so sharp and keys were just muddy and hard to tell. At least to my eyes. The one color that I found that worked great for me and makes keys easy to make out day or night is Cyan. Contrasts very well against the white, yet is still light enough to easily make out letters quickly. Go in armory crate, into lightning options, pick static color so it doesn't cycle colors, then pick Cyan color from color options. It's located between green and blue when you get a choice of colors presented to you. Hope that works for you, but if not, there are million of other colors to pick from.
