Wouldn't have minded all of this, but they didn't ship me a critical component to use the mop, the water filter (a big plastic piece). The robot will not mop without this component.

Very poor QA for this refurb program. Contacted Roborock customer service and provided photos, not sure what resolution will be.
Nasty used? The last Roborock refurb that I got was brand-spanking new. Dreame is a decent robovac but not as good as V7Max.
Have a Roborock for less than a year. There's plastic under the wheel that broke. I'm guessing it was screwed in too tight. I contacted Roborock and they refused the warranty stating it's an accessory then directed me to aliexpress to order the part. Weird since they don't sell it on their website and don't state it ever needs replacing.

The 2 year warranty is through asurion / square trade and not roborock. Since you're still in the 30-day return period, I would reach out to roborock via ebay and see if they can exchange it for you. If not, then warranty should take care of it.

I got the other unit, definitely better so gonna charge it and give it a go. Still obviously used but at least more respectable this time for a refurb. Vacuum was pretty wet and the unit smells from water being in various places but it's fine.

I did contact this number, they put me in touch with the local sales team - an email address support_EU@roborock. These are the same individuals monitoring the Ebay website.

The best they offered me was a 50$ discount (to keep the current unit and ship me missing parts, or 20$ for inconvenience of having to ship my current unit back) after a week straight of negotiation and terrible response timing. Did you have a different experience?

I ended up getting a straightforward apology and offer to replace from the Roborock ebay support chat. Hoping the replacement is in better shape.

Yeah, they prefer that so they can soften us up into not leaving a bad review on their eBay page. A company as large as Roborock needs to have higher standards for their refurbs, and frankly I don't think that these were refurbs. What all of us received varied too widely in quality. A partial refund won't change the fact that I'd still be stuck with a filthy, smelly vacuum that I now half to self-service with whatever replacement parts they try to send and hope will work. That loop could have lasted for weeks and the whole point of this thing is to save me time...so not interested at all. I'd probably feel differently if it felt like a one-off, but it seems that's not the case.

Got my refund and bought a Shark IQ at Sam's Club instead. It looks cheaper but it works well. The mopping isn't anything to write home about but I mostly just wanted a good vac and this one was cheaper brand new than the "refurb". The most noticeable difference was the app. The Shark app's onboarding was so much smoother and really tightly/cleverly designed. Roborock's had a couple typos and weird UI bugs that made the setup process annoying even before I realized it wasn't working.

Also want to add that the feedback I left on the product page over a week ago still isn't posted which I find to be pretty sketchy.

My final update, for any of those still checking this thread:

Was shipped a replacement unit that came actually as advertised, it is like new this time, runs quieter, actually mops.

I tried to see what compensation could be offered and was back to the 20$ maximum, until... I left an honest and detailed poor review on their ebay page. I started getting quicker response times, and a revised offering of 50$ to remove the poor review. I countered at 100$ and they've agreed.

750$ for a new s7 maxv ultra not bad.
