30% off through Friday, seems like the original price is already a discount.

Also Target is matching Amazon's $5 off $30 board games so you get more discount with more games.

Great price, excellent game. It is a good way to ease into the Gloomhaven/Frosthaven play mechanics.

$6 for shipping kills it, unless you can get to $35 in your cart

I got this for my family when it was $20 so that we could play it once school was out. It has already provided many hours of entertainment and was well worth the price. Be warned, this is not a game for casual play. You will need dedicated players who can spend several hours at a time trying to complete scenarios. You may want to set up a dedicated table for play, as setting everything up and putting it away each session will add a chunk of time to your play.

bought this in 21 for $30 and still not have played. Thanks kids for killing game nights. Crazy how cheap this is for a top rated game. Seems like a must buy at that price.

#7 all time game on BGG :
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardga...-jaws-lion

As everyone else has said its a total steal at this price.
This plays well solo too.
Easier to get into than the full Gloomhaven.
But if you aren't familiar, understand this is a fairly deep and involved game.

If you're considering full Gloomhaven, try this first. My friends and I are pretty into complex campaign games and we just could not get into Jaws of the Lion. And from what I understand it's just a trimmed down Gloomhaven with a fraction of the campaigns.

It's the same as gloomhaven but they made some quality of life improvements that speed up the game drastically such as maps on a book instead of having to Tetris map pieces together. While setup is a bit shorter, two scenarios is around 3-4 hours, and there are around 25 scenarios.

It's basically fantasy XCOM style board game

Target has a 5 dollars off 30 dollar board game sale going on. So if you have a board game that is over $12.15, you can add it and get 5 dollars off.

Honestly we loved Jaws of the Lion so much, and found the first edition of Gloomhaven pretty tough to get sucked into. JotL had much better balance and pacing. Apparently the 2nd edition of Gloomhaven fixes the problem where the difficulty was very "Front-loaded" so the first 10 missions are too hard and then it gets easier, but I haven't tried that.

So yes, if you don't like JotL, there's basically no chance you'd like Gloomhaven.

But JotL stood out as one of our most favorite games of all time.

Solid advice. 100% agree. Younger kids (16 and younger) can lose focus quickly while everyone is trying to get used to the game mechanics.
