My son and I played this to teach us gloomhaven. We had a blast and consider it on of our best boardgaming experiences but by the end we were ready to move on to other games. Now I just need to sell/trade our unplayed copy of gloomhaven. I have played some gloomhaven on steam and it too is fun, but way too long. This is the perfect size.

Played this over 18 sessions, once a week, with 2 players.
An excellent experience overall.
We later tried Gloomhaven proper (with a party of 4) and after 12 sessions we were all done with it.

Jaws of the Lion gives the Gloomhaven experience without the fiddly setup. A huge difference is that in Jaws, you play on pages in a book - turn to page 18 and place your characters at the start area. In Gloomhaven, there are ~12+ pieces of double-sided cardboard you have to put together to make the scenario map (+ placing all the doors, traps, enemies, etc etc etc).

If you are at all interested in Gloomhaven, Jaws is a good entry point, and $20 is an awesome price!

Big Box and heavy. This is a good deal. Even if you don't play it like me and it's still sitting on the shelf. Don't blame the game, all my games sit on the shelf.
Normal in the store price is like $50!
