one fair unit in my area (10+ miles away)

Significant cosmetic signs of use
Vital accessories may be missing

Missing the power brick is not an issue, but what if I get a unit with screen scratched or has a dent / crack on the surface?

I would hope they let you inspect the open box units prior to purchase and I assume with all the open box deals Best Buy cannot be too difficult for the return process.*

*Now I used to call Best Buy, "Worst Return." They would deny damn near any return even if you had a receipt in hand and the package was still sealed. Again I am assuming that is different now as I haven't attempted to return anything to BB in 5+ years and every single PC seems to have an open box price.

They actually let you to inspect in-store. I just do not want to bother driving to the store for a crapped laptop. If it is in Excellent condition, I will go for it.

i have this laptop. runs hot and the fans were not that loud when playing AAA games at performance mode. no regrets. best laptop i have owned.

Runs hot, keyboard could be a bit better and has an annoying Bluetooth bug that's thankfully a quick fix. https://lemmy.world/post/1764058
