Not a good price, I've seen this go for as low at $110 in amazon new and on 3rd party sellers. But if you had a b550 board I suggest to get this at 110-120 price or better yet, the 5700g for 140-150 if you see it at that price. One thing I would never recommend getting at any price is the 3200g. To put it into perspective if you go from 5600g to 5700g in term of performance on games without the use of a discrete gpu, the difference would only be around 5-8%. If you don't intend to do heavy gaming(AAA games released after 2020), and want to spend the least money the 5600g will do just fine. You will be just fine with 1080p low 30fps. PS the 5600g and 5700g are also emulation beasts, Being able to emulate native 1080p at 60 fps ps3 games is insane. Also, with the release of the 8600g you could also see the prices of am4 generation drop, so waiting 1-2 months could save you some buyers regret.

Thanks for the info trying to upgrade my sons pc got the motherboard and new heatsink/fans need a cpu and ddr4 ram looking into the 5500 and up appreciate the info I'll hold off for a bit
