USB c ports don't support charging or display out. Not deal breakers if price is most important to you since it has an hdmi port, but something to consider if you've gotten used to that or have a bunch of usb c accessories/dongles.
I'm honestly curious to know why backlit keyboard is such a #1 must have in slickdeals. Never even once I have seen someone use this as a factor in their laptop purchasing decision IRL.
The CPU on this one smokes ANYTHING up to the i7-1360P with really good integrated graphics as well, it's a far bigger factor IMO

Never once? Yet numerous consumers are telling you that it's an important purchasing factor right in front of your eyes? Back lit keyboard makes typing or navigating easier at night or dim lit rooms, and should honestly just come standard on laptops at this point.

pick one.
100% sRGB should be the standard as well, but they can get away with 45% NTSC (~62.5% sRGB) because they know the average consumer does not care (or even know) about this.
I picked up a open box for under 400, i really bought this for VM's, I am trying to learn server 2019 and my thinkpad with the 11th gen i5 was struggling to even run server 2019 vm.
So far it's okay, nothing special but it's way faster than my thinkpad.
The screen feels so crappy. Any settings to improve it?
"Feels" crappy or looks crappy? I've bought 2 of these for clients and while it's no 500 nit OLED display, it seemed perfectly fine for a $400 laptop with a very decent CPU, 12GB RAM and 512GB SSD. If only Apple gave you their lowest price MacBook with those specs instead of charging you 3x that for less.
