You do not manually set crossovers when running Dirac...
You need to let it know what set up you have..ie...speakers
Here is a helpful video, look around 2:50 mark.

Here is Dirac's user manual & look at page 32, gives a description of what each of their RCs offer/do.
"Dirac Live: The filter design page is presented without Bass Control features and filters are calculated without any form of bass management.
Bass Management: Dirac Live filters are designed such that each subwoofer in the arrangement contributes equally to matching the drawn target curve. A system with 1 subwoofer will adjust this subwoofer so that it matches the curve, while a system with 2 or more subwoofers will scale the volume (or gain) of each subwoofer so that they collectively add up to provide the drawn response. However, it will not consider any destructive interference between the speakers.
Bass Control: Dirac Live filters harmonize the subwoofers and non-subwoofer speakers in the lower frequencies using tailor-made phase filters, delays, and gains."

I'm still an AVR setup kinda person and have recommended so in the past to family and friends, but with these better soundbars on the market now, recommend my not so involved audio friends and family these better soundbars. Cut down my involvement significantly with helping them setup or maintain their little home theater systems.

No, that's the 900C, not the 990C. 900 is the lower model with no surrounds and inferior sound. Not sure of the quality but Samsung soundbars vary in quality vastly so I will check reviews on that one first before jumping on it.
How many speakers do you have? Return the Denon and get the Onkyo NR7100 for Dirac Live and the increased power. I'm returning my NR6050 as well.

If it's to upgrade your sound quality, your speakers are thee biggest influencers with that imo.
So if any of your current speakers are "to hold you over" until you "fill in the blank".
I would concentrate on the fill in the blank 1st.
Contrary to popular belief, the quality of every speaker matters with HT imo.
Too often people sacrifice quality to include "Atmos".
The quality of your core speakers plays a big role on Atmos, build a good one 1st before upgrading to it imo.
If it's for features, just remember this tech changes quickly.
You may find you want that new tech that's out by the time you use the one you already paid for and end up buying a newer receiver.

Why, I have personal experience with all their RCs.
I agree with Dirac, Dirac Live does not include any Bass Control or Bass Management.
As the AV professional Audio Advice suggested, set your crossovers in the processor.
I agree with them also.

I dont know how much experience you have with Dirac in personal ownership.
I know from products that I owned, for a period of years, that there are nuances( and some basics) in the set up that vary by brand.
There are literally hundreds of owners who have set up and own this product in the AVS forum thread .
The set up as well as tips and tricks specific to this model are outlined in copious detail

IMO..that is by far the best resource for the product in this thread

IMO there is no better resource for a Dirac product than Dirac themselves.
Having many personal experiences with many different brands that offer some form of Dirac including this one.
I can tell you unequivocally, that quote I provided from Dirac's user manual is universal & definitive!
If you want to believe Dirac is wrong & there is a better resource, that is completely your prerogative, no debate there.

Thank you for the response. I have 5.2.2. Yes, heard only good things about Dirac Live.
