That's true. And for anyone who lives within driving distance of a Microcenter that has one in stock, that would be a better deal. For the other 99% of people, including me, this might be the best they can get.
Pretty comprehensive comparison of 9th gen vs 10th gen here:
Highlights:
10.2 vs 10.9 inch display
A13 vs A14 chip
Lightning+headphone jack vs USB-C connector
Wifi 5 vs Wifi 6
8MP vs 12MP 4K video/60fps camera
Touch ID in Home button vs side button
I got one from Best Buy in store, no problem matching MC. They said it was on their "approved list" for price matching, even though the nearest MC is about 100 miles away.

For media consumption, any good reason to go beyond a 7th gen ipad?
I have one of these, the speaker isn't super loud if you need to have the volume up (no head phone) but otherwise ok. Not super fast but good enough for Netflix and Youtube apps for sure. I use it for this purpose since it mine only has 32GB of storage lol
It will. I think my 9 year old iPad runs fine for media consumption. It's one version behind on iPad os but still had security updates I think. 🤔 Battery is shot only good for 3 hours but I just charge her more often
My 6 year old iPads just got the newest iPad os update.
Always amazed how popular a $10 or $20 discount makes any apple product. Like food during an apocalypse, or toilet paper in a pandemic
If you've waited this long for an iPad maybe the extra $15 is enough after the recent price drop to say yes. Who cares. You care enough to post a reply

If the first 3 are important, and you can afford it, then sure. But many people won't need pencil, keyboard, Stage Manager and are more price sensitive.
I went with the cheaper and imo better Logitech keyboard with kickstand. Have had no problem with the device. Only tell it's laminated when I tap on the screen hard ish. Otherwise looks fine indoors.

No, really don't care. Just a chuckle
It's not a brand new iPad. They just reduced the price to $349.
Exactly the same
