Prices went up significantly compared to 11/2023 but $139.99 is way too much. $114 for Acer predator is more accessible.

Agreed. Got my teamforce 2 TB gen4 for $104. So yeah, these NVME prices are going up by a lot (almost 40% increase).

Yes, it's one sided so it's perfect for a laptop. I had 2 of them in my Dell XPS 17.

Indeed a few got it at that price, however, that price I believe was a price error deal so I would not consider that deal as an official lowest price for the record. Nevertheless, it's good to know that did happen and a few were very fortunate to get it.

I'd be satisfied if I can get 4TB Samsung 990 Pro or WD Black at just under $200.

Finally a voice of reason! Glitches does not count as a deal since there should be more availability for all to buy it. 😎

Say that to my $40 breakfast for 3 at McDonalds. Oh yeah, CA just enacted $20 living wage for fast food employees. Not artificially jacked up...
You would want to do that kind of work (any kind) for less pay?

Just to give some perspective, I got this for $89.99 when BB price matched WD's website last summer. WD was selling the 1TB SN850X for $59.99 and 2TB for $89.99. I would wait for a sale from them again. However, it's been working great for almost a year now so if you are in dire need, go for it.

Although, I did read recently flash prices might be headed back up so perhaps this is a symptom of that.

They cut production since last fall when 4tb drives were $200-250.

Recommending rebranded chinese Biwin drives as some better purchase is laughable.

I got one of these when it was roughly this price a few weeks ago. Couldn't justify the 4TB at the price it is right now. Only heads up, runs a little warm, but apparently that's normal for these drives.

As we already figured out Biwin is a Taiwanese company, ram is by Hynix and Nands are made by Micron. Both WD and Biwin are making drives in China or Malaysia. So the only difference is a controller. With 5 years warranty there are many applications where you would use cheaper and time proven drive. Also GM7000 is back to $130-135 so it's not worth having this discussion.

Biwin is chinese lol. Are you bad at google?

While you're at it, google binning and figure out how biwin has the cheaper option.

Mine says made in Taiwan. Also since WD 850X are made in China & Malaysia this isn't an argument. https://www.techpowerup.com/revie...ckage2.jpg

Well, that is how they make the US greater
They raised the wage, to encourage buying robots as automation robots have been in polishing phases. They want the sales on Automation for their personal investments to increase. Then the staff gets fired, they reduce pricing 2% then another 2% so that we feel like we won... when in reality we all lost except the WEF mafia. This is not nonsense, the WEF have been completely open about this.
