I visited staples in Aliso Viejo and they had an Xbox 1TB Expansion card for $79.96. There's also a promotion in the app where if you spend $75 you get $25 in points. YMMV obliviously

Regarding the offer (spend $75 you get $25 in points), can you buy $75 GC in the store?

If it's anything like their switch games stock showing up online, I found that if there is anything less than 2 or less if will up online as Out of Stock. So if you need this and it's not a long trek it may be worth going in.

I got the last one in Carrollton, GA! Online said full price & out of stock. Went to the store and the employee got it from the glass case.

The bigger deal here is that someone visited Staples.
Don't knock Staples, they have random great prices on storage. I got a 2TB Samsung 990 Pro there a few months ago for $119, as well as some HP branded 512GB nvme drives on clearance for $14.99. The latter are slow in comparison, but come on, fifteen bucks.

There were still three in Chapel Hill, NC for $80 after I got one. The app showed no stock and a price of $149, the case showed a price of $199, so just have someone grab one and check the price if you have stock at your Staples.

I got lucky and they had one in stock even tho the display price showed $199.99 I asked the worker if he could scan it and it rang up for $79 n change. Even if website/store shows the regular price, ask for them to scan it. Thanks for sharing this great deal

Break it open and it's just an SD card or flash drive, right? Probably has garbage r/w speeds, especially since it's USB.

Get a new 2TB SSD and save yourself the headache of a slow game drive with all the slow load times that come with it
Thought the same, but apparently these Xbox expansion drives allow access to the internal bus with significantly higher speeds and allows for all games to be stored/launched.

Thanks OP. Last store within 35 miles of my home had two left, even though the app only said one. So my better half and I signed up for staples rewards and each got one for 79.99 plus the 25 reward each, for future use.

You can't swap out internal drives like you could in last gen xboxs.
