I just noticed Samsung has several OLED monitors on sale:
49" Odyssey G9 OLED Monitor(G95SC) for $899.96
32" Odyssey G8 OLED(G80SD) for $855.
34" Odyssey G8 OLED(G85SD) is also on sale for $719.99.
EDU account is required but it doesn't verify me in any way.

G95SC is regularly on sale for this price and lower. Several months ago we had a deal in Bestbuy for $799 with $75 gift card.
The G95C is usually the one on sale at bestbuy which is LED not OLED. Thank you samsung for being purposely confusing and making completely different panels 1 letter different.
I've been keeping an eye on the G95SC hoping for something in the ~$700 range and so far the lowest I've seen was $804 via EPP
EDIT: Amazon had a weird stepped markdown over 2 days a couple months ago that I think bottomed out at $900 for the g93sc (same monitor without smart TV features)
didn't seem to be working for me, despite going through the link, confirming my account, etc. But then I realized there's a tiny thing at the top of the page that says you have to Log In to your Samsung Account in addition to your AAA account in order to see the discounted pricing. Thanks!
I dont have EPP (self employed) so I jumped on the open box excellent Oled G9 S95C for $857.
lucked out, it had 9 hours of panel time and still had all the plastic peels attached.
I LOVE THIS MONITOR.
Currently looking at smaller 32:9 display to place under it. 1920x480 resolution, as I think it would look super slick have a really big 32:9 and a tiny 32:9 under it
