When brand new M4's with double the RAM are $750 and AAFES deals are $699, this posting is nothing more than a thumbs-down collector.

I'm surprised by the down votes. A brand new Macbook Air for $599 is a good deal IMHO for people that are primarily just using it for online tasks.

This is about the worst deal for a brand new MacBook Air. It's a 4 year old laptop. As mentioned, you can get a brand new M4 MacBook Air w/16gb RAM 256gb SSD from $699-$749

Although the M1 was released years ago, they have made multiple minor improvements to this model that make it significantly nicer than the original and the battery life is outstanding. You might find it cheaper closer to Black Friday or Cyber Monday for around $549. If an M4 actually gets down to $699 or less without being military, please post it and I'll be the first to buy it.

It's been on sale the last couple of weeks. The military deal was $699. Best Buy and Amazon had it for $749. Yes, I did buy it for $699 at AAFES. It'll go back on sale for Black Friday.
