I more recently bought the M12 set on a similar slick deal and all I can say is wow, I wish I had got that from the beginning. Most jobs I've done would have been easier with the slightly smaller tools and plenty powerful enough.
Then I could have put my money towards a super hole hawg or something for the really tough stuff.
A few years ago, I shared your sentiment about this type of HD deal. But I think that these deals are still offer even though a lot of half of this type of deal have been return for many years means that they are expecting the return. As you must be aware that there is a national return clearing house database. I would have been barred from buying from many stores because of these "hack" by now. I have 15+ Ryobi batteries and can't really use more of them. Unless you are saying that dishonesty doesn't count against you in the eye of HD then your label may be accurate.
