Seems to be about the going "sale" price. Great intro kit for the M12 line.

I just don't get the whole "hack" thing. It's not a "hack", it's just plain being dishonest. Saving money is great, but if you are purchasing things with the intention of returning part of it for a refund, it's speaks volumes about your character.... I know this is an unpopular opinion, but it is what it is.
At this point I am sure HD is aware of this "hack" and I don't think they particularly care. Otherwise they would have enacted policies to make sure you're not able to do this. They're definitely not dumb.

I've seen several posts on the Reddit sub about people having their accounts closed and being barred from returning items due to too many returns. It seems like most of these people were taking advantage of these "hacks". So, I can only assume that hd doesn't condone it. Idk.
I tried the hack, once, and they blocked my account for 3 months

Was it definitely because of the hack? If it was, you're the only one I've heard about. I have read about buyers being denied a partial return here and there, but never a ban. I've done the hack myself over the years probably over 50 times with zero issues, and others here have done the same. So that's thousands upon thousands of purchases with relatively few problems let alone any bans. Wonder why they lifted it after 3 months. Weird.

Never fails. One of the self-appointed morality police always shows up in these HD deals to lecture other adults on right vs wrong. Same BS for years now. Usually the same people that never take their own advice in their own lives. Lol. Here's some advice in return: Go away and preach your nonsense elsewhere.

This is an absolutely great set for most DIYers. As a very experienced DIYer (remodeling my entire 3000sqft home), I started out with the M18 Fuel set. It never let me down, even mixing bags of quikrete which is quite taxing on a drill.
I more recently bought the M12 set on a similar slick deal and all I can say is wow, I wish I had got that from the beginning. Most jobs I've done would have been easier with the slightly smaller tools and plenty powerful enough.

Then I could have put my money towards a super hole hawg or something for the really tough stuff.

You know they are a multi-billion dollar company Owned by blackrock and vanguard and can and probably do hire some top notch website designer and coders. They are allowed to set what ever rules they want. This "hack" has been a thing for a decade you think of it was a problem it would continue this long ?

Good, but it's a fairly common dealYou also need to factor in that Milwaukee hasn't updated these tools since 2022. And since 2022 is just the release date, the underlying technology is effectively from 2019-2020. As a result, they're naturally heavier and bulkier compared to modern compact DeWalt models
Yeah let me just switch ALL my tools over to DeWalt because they're smaller drill set is slightly updated and lighter

A few years ago, I shared your sentiment about this type of HD deal. But I think that these deals are still offer even though a lot of half of this type of deal have been return for many years means that they are expecting the return. As you must be aware that there is a national return clearing house database. I would have been barred from buying from many stores because of these "hack" by now. I have 15+ Ryobi batteries and can't really use more of them. Unless you are saying that dishonesty doesn't count against you in the eye of HD then your label may be accurate.
Return information is sent to a company called The Retail Equation which tracks return abuse across multiple retailers. "Hack" one of these deals and you'll soon find your return privileges revoked from said retailers.

HD knows about this. They could have easily made it to where people couldn't do it many, many years ago. Dont look at it as they are the victim, they are still profiting hand over fist.
You are not correct in your assumptions.
