thankyou for your posts, I now have Christmas almost done (except for the wife) 3 LG 3d wifi dvd players for $21 , 3 Logitech G710+ gaming keyboards $25 each and 2 Canary cams $49 a peice, all for $236 nice !! Found them all at my local walmart, buried in the back room, not on display, even the staff said why were they not out on display... lol!!!

Not me. If I'm there to buy a clearance deal, I'm only usually going to buy the deal as I get better deals on groceries from local chains that offer money off on gas at certain local stations or a slight discount on your groceries.

I deleted them all without answering a single one.

Walmart's Savings Catcher far exceeds any rewards discount on gas you get. Usually Spend $50 and get .05 off per gallon of gas. Those points expire after a couple of months and it is a one time use. Not really worth it. the saving catcher never expires and you are guaranteed to get the lowest price in the area.

I managed to score the final three Chromecast Audio units at my local Walmart for $9 each. Most stores I see on Brickseek didn't seem to go below $20, but mine did. Keep your eyes peeled!

But there's also usually other deals besides the gas rewards. The one local chain here does a 5/$19.95 on various food items, whether pre-packaged stuff that's ready to eat or stuff you have to cook yourself.

I happened to be driving past a whole lot of Walmarts over the weekend and learned a few lessons about best practices for these deals.

For any electronics:
Find the person in Walmart who has the "scanner" that can look up UPC's (listed on the Brickseek page). This will tell you if the store inventory system even has it. Sometimes when the system says there are only 1 or 2, they have to look in the "back", but no guarantees

Brickseek accuracy:
Not 100% accurate, and be aware of this when driving far distances. It is a risk that you go there and they cannot find things. There are many cases where the one store left on Brickseek with inventory just has an error and never turns to 0. Brickseek will tell you where NOT to go, but not a guarantee a store will have it if it says there are.

In the end you can find some great deals on this thread. Just be aware it can be time consuming and lead to dead ends due to Brickseek accuracy. Walmart customer service being slow is also not very helpful. But if you try enough stores you will be bound to find some of these items.

I would also like to reiterate(again) that being nice, polite and patient with the employees helps immensely too. In my travels looking for deals though 0(aka limited with the yellow bar that says limited stock) may indeed produce AT LEAST one from those stores. However that one may well be a display model that the management may refuse to sell.

Mind you some stores showing multiple(my closest one showing THREE Alienware Alpha gaming computers/consoles at $349, SKU: 38579196) may have them stuffed in the back(as you said) and you may have to rely on the kindness and patience of a WM employee to go dig around in the back to find it/them.

But there's a caveat to the being nice thing. If you get an employee who is so curt and rude as if you're bothering them by asking for them to check something, then all bets are off. I had an employee like this when I found the regular PS4 case version of Rise Of The Tomb Raider($10 at some stores) a month ago. The employee just grabbed a random copy, scanned it and then shoved it back in the case and walked away. I didn't tell a manager while there but I did on the next trip. I haven't seen that employee in electronics there since.
