Agreed. Posting or helping with posting screen shots only makes the lazier elements of deal sites ask for more hand holding.

If people want to use their price protection program from one or more of their credit cards, then they need to learn how to use it themselves AND be willing to do the legwork to find the low prices or get screen shots for them themselves.

As for the YMMV deals, I usually only post them once I've already grabbed what I want. Most times they get thumbed down into oblivion since people are too lazy to get out of their recliners to go grab them. Instead they'll grab every Amazon "deal" that's just them price matching another retailer or giving a measly 5-10% off MSRP. I mean the amount of praise for that company that goes on on deal sites is amusing since most of the prices they post I wouldn't exactly call a 'deal'.

2nd: discover people will not spend time going through what you are trying to show. The first $ they see is what they see. Do not expect them to spend time to fully understand your intention.
3rd: non-identifiable item matches your item.

I know about the date, just didn't add it in that SS. So that type of SS is up in the air, may work, may not. I prefer to not use it since its questionable. What do you mean by non-identifiable item matches your item?

How do they know that the item appears on the receipt is the same item that you show on SS?

Yes the windows date/time after you click it. Been approved using windows/date time popped out and a resized chrome window showing date and time. Obviously, along with price in the screenshot.

Yes I've been approved, even though it may be redundant I like to have two time stamps in the shot. I've also been approved with just the windows date/time also (without the pop out and without a chrome window).

If so, also provide them upc for them to check

I didn't have a choice with that claim as I couldn't reproduce a new screenshot. I've heard it go both ways. Some people have no problem with just this and others get denied. I only ever used it once, don't actually recommend it.

That's why I stated I like to use a chrome window WITH the windows time/date popped out too. I haven't had any issues when including 2 timestamps.

edit: Like to add, I always include the sku, upc, model number, and store number, etc when submitting a claim. Make use of the optional field and include the store # where it asks you the lower price is found. You need to make sure you give them the most direct information to verify the price.

Just to be clear, which info are you referring to that I am missing? I ask because I have used SS's in the past that just show a picture of the item, with a description of what it is.

It's vague.
You need to provide info that adjuster believes the lower price as (SS) is the same item as in your receipt.

Edit: in the "past", they didn't call store every time to confirm the price. The game has changed now that they call every single time. Store is getting massive phone call to ask for same item over and over, it triggers store to raise the price or remove ASAP. Time is essence since you are competiting with other people trying to price match the item across the country.

Gotcha. I will use the optional field when submitting a claim and put as much info as I can. I usually leave that field blank.
