I have the same problem. They are not able to verify the price when they called. Either Walamrt has told their employees to stop verifying prices for credit card company or Discover is bullshitting to make things harder for us. They are trying to plug the leaks.

I don't think that's the case. Why Walmart cares for price protection? They made the sale, that's all Walmart cares.

I think it's likely that particular store had price removed.
If you can't reproduce the SS yourself, that's the answer.

I just checked and I am still able to pull a SS shot of price at that particular location. How do they expect me to get the price in writing from the SM. I guess they don't expect me to.

You can try calling the store yourself, see if you can get the price from them. Don't push, just ask for the price.
If they can't give you, that's likely what happened.
If they can give you the price over the phone, I would call discover and talk to the supervisor, see if he/she can call to verify while you are on the call with him/her.

I must say, I scanned a whole bunch of clearance items barcodes from my phone into the "Check price here" scanner and now my store is showing up on Brickseek with the clearance price lol. I wonder if it stays there permanently...

Yes I can still reproduce the SS from the app. It has the same price and instock. The Discover rep I spoke to said he doesn't know how to use the app and require written confirmation from a manager.

They stay there a little over a week in my experience.

Doesn't make sense.
Are you saying you scan deleted item with WM app, and price came backup?

If price is deleted, when you scan with WM app, you shouldn't get any price in return.

If you scan with WM app, and you get the price, which means price was not deleted. So does Brickseek.

Because he doesn't know how to use the app and so deny your claim, that's bull.
If someone doesn't know how to use computer / phone. Does that mean your claim will automatically denied? That's bull.

I know thats a poor excuse but they are trying every possible way to slow down and/or denying us from the price protection.

I have noticed it slows down a lot.
I submitted a claim on 8/15, it's been 12 days and no progress changed.

That is about the average time they take now, of the last 4 DPP I've submitted it took an average of 2 weeks for status to change from submitted to approved.

Why not? If price no longer valid on app, which means store had it removed. No way for DPP to confirm the price. It will be deny for sure.
