Any explanations on the $400 steep cut? This is unbelievable!!!
The m2 macbook pro is probably going to be a powerhouse, 3nm means its going to be a even bigger jump that m1 to m2 was. Maybe they will even move to OLED? Not much is known.

Asking for recommendations
My daughter wants to buy it. Is it better for her to apply for a Costco Citi cc for added warranty?
How does the warranty work?
Is it on top of the normal warranty it already has?
Should she just buy from BB?
Also she has almost $100.00 gc from BB
Also she live in NJ so tax free weekend.
I personally have never used any of my Costco warranty. But I can tell you if this was me I'd buy it at BB and get apple care. Apple care itself is well worth it if/when it is needed. Especially if you are close to an apple store.

He is taking about the 5% cash back category. Basically if you pay Best Buy using your PayPal account. Then PayPal will charge the discover card. You can get up to $75 back.

You need a discover card or I think chase (don't know if this quarter they have PayPal as their 5% back).

Yup! Costco has a very friendly return policy. No restocking fee for open/used items.
Oh didn't know that. That's pretty consumer friendly! Correct to assume they'd still require original packaging etc as well? With such a long return window, do they strictly track/monitor the number of returns people do. I know some retailers are more strict than others based on a WSJ article I read in the past. Thanks again!

This quarter discover card has 5% cashback on PayPal purchases. Just activate your quarterly cashback bonus on discover and pay for the device using PayPal on Best Buy.

Costco also sells apple care. You have to add the product to cart where it prompts for apple care before the final checkout page.

I think they'd process your return without it. However, if you're on the fence on keeping it I'd just hand onto the materials during the 90 day window before tossing. People who really abuse their return system can have their membership banned. Returning a laptop in their return window won't even cause them to bat an eye.

As a general rule of thumb. If you know you might return something or slightly unsure about such high ticket items I always make a good effort to take the item out nearly and keep the box. Not to say Costco won't take it back (tbh I don't know if Costco will take it back or not if you don't have the box). But I have been been denied of a return.

I had even returned a huge gaming PC. I kept the box and all. Just didn't need it in the end. They took it back no question asked.

Thanks for the reply. I generally try to buy with confidence and avoid returns of opened/used items unless something is wrong with it. Just curious, what did you get denied for?

In general I don't return opened/used items because I've just assumed a retailer would not accept it (unless there was something wrong with the item purchased). I would assume returning items within the 90-day window (especially unopened) would not be a form of the "abuse" you're referring to haha.

I'm definitely going to have to consider future purchases with Costco though. A 90-day window helps protect you against an unexpected price drop. Is Costco cool with a return & rebuy or price-matching the new price? Once again, thanks for all the info!
