What is neanderthal is that apple doesn't run macos on an ipad because it has enough powers for my needs and I need certain apps that run on macos so I have a MacBook and iPad when all I really need is an iPad pro. Talk about not being green using the exact same cpu.

Apple will never let ipads run macos for the same reason macbooks will never have touch screens. Which is a shame because much like you I think a 2-in-1 macbook would be the perfect device for me.
