Does anyone know how I could purchase this deal using two credit cards? More specifically I have a $500 Amex gift card I want to use, and another credit card for the balance. I checked best buy faq and they stated only one credit card allowed.

Thanks

Wow.. now I wish I didn't get the 16" when it first came out - in some ways I'm regretting how big and heavy it is, but then I do like the big screen for primary computer basically... Oh well, maybe in a few years.
I bought the 16 inch m1 max then returned it and get the 14 inch, no regrets

Qualifies as school supplies for NJ tax holiday (Aug 27th - Sept 5th). $1599 total… Incredible deal and timing by BB.
So there is no state tax on this one?

I don't even see the point of buying a MacBook anymore since Win10/11 is much better for productivity and gaming and Intel/AMD are putting out good numbers with Alder Lake and Ryzen. Hard pass on this-- keeping my old 2010 MBA Core2Duo just to say I have a Mac, and building a Zen 4 gamer next month.
I'm a hardcore PC enthusiast gamer, even I know that for video editing it is waaaay better on the M silicon from Apple and is a lot better on electricity bills and heat than trying to do the same on a 12900K and a 3080 ti… hello sauna! Productivity is subjective of course but there are clear cut use cases for the M silicon Macs and this is a more relatively recent shift. Prior to the M silicon, PCs did exactly the same thing but with better hardware options for upgrades and thus better performance. My 12900K system can draw 1000W out of the wall with a 3080 ti under full load (custom hardline water cooling), let's not even talk about the heat that generates which needs to be offset with A/C. I've had my office be at 78 degrees while the other rooms at 68 just because my office has my gaming PC running…

Wouldn't get caught dead gaming on a Mac though, except for giggles… but that's why we can have both for specific uses.

This a joke? It's a Mac. You can't. Ever.

Is it worth saving $98 to get the open box excellent certified? The extra savings would help but buying a brand new laptop is enticing.

You can dual boot and get an egpu. Not a good as having a dedicated windows machine but the money you save over buying 2 computers can be spent on a better GPU.

Debating over the past weeks for buying college senior kid to upgrade his MBA from 2017. Already decided to go with MBA m1 ( 900 edu pricing plus 150 Apple GC, now saw this deal, debating which one I should go with, a few hundred dollars are not too much for my decision, just don't know if the Best buy deal is better for him overall ? Would appreciate for any pro opinions. Thanks.

You could always buy a $500 Best Buy gift card with the $500 and use the credit card for the rest

I would buy a new laptop. I ibought the one in front of me Open Box- Geek Squad certified. Has 7 cycles. The last owner bought it in JUly 14 and forgot to cancel his/her Apple Care subscription.

Idk...I'm going to return it to BB and get one from Costco.

They extend 24m on the highest warranty received upon purchase. Apple care begins from the date of purchase so it's wasted if you do 1y since mfr warranty is already 12m. Doing 2y gives you 24m of coverage. Citi will then double your warranty so you'd have 4y of coverage.

It goes like this:
Original Mfr (12m) , apple care (24m), citi 24m.

Check this out too:

What Is the Longest Extended Warranty Protection for My Purchase?

Seven years. In order to get seven years of protection you must be certain your purchase is covered by the manufacturer warranty as well as Costco's Concierge protection. The next three years will be covered by purchasing extended warranty coverage from Allstate, and finally you can top off coverage for the final two years, for a grand total of seven years if you make your purchase with your qualifying Costco Citi credit card.

Be sure to follow all of these steps for seven years of protection:

Purchase using Costco Citi Credit Card
Confirm that that item is covered by Costco Concierge

Buy an extended warranty from Allstate for the item within 90 days of initial purchase
thank you for this

thinking of getting this for instead of M2 Air (apple student). It's 500 difference, but then I would get an additional 2 years using costco credit card.

Also according that site you posted: Costco itself give you 1 year extra on top of manufacture. Then using the credit card give you another 2 more years
