    Not bad considering the 5600g is $130 and $25 cheaper than the 5600. Now, for the 4000 series, 4600g is $113 and 4500 $79. They all need a price drop though.

    You did- the 3600 still holds up. It's not even worth the upgrade to a 5600 from that CPU.

    This is a great deal if you have a motherboard that supports it and on par.with the 1600AF deal. 3600X-ish performance.

    Too bad boards are a bit expensive now.

    I ordered a qualifying CPU from amazon and got an email a week (two weeks maybe?) afterwards with a steam key I could redeem but there's a catch.

    You have to create an amd account which then checks to make sure the CPU is "really" installed on your PC before you can redeem the game on Steam..which I imagine wouldn't be a problem for most people Smilie (kind of annoying you couldn't just gift the game to someone else but I get how they want to reserve it for people who actually bought the CPU Stick Out Tongue )

    Newegg is an authorized seller for this free uncharted game , not sure how long it takes newegg to send you an email saying " Hey here's your code for the free uncharted game"

    Yeah. This is a 5600g with the graphics disabled so less cache. PCI-E 3. All the limitations of those chips apply here too. Not a bad chip especially for this price but it isn't quite what you'd expect given the numbering. Since you have to use a discrete card anyway a 5600 or 5600x is going to give you more performance.

    There's like 1% difference between the 5600($118) and 5600x. Not sure why you would paying more for an extra letter.
