The gl83a is their budget offering where the gl850 was high end a few years ago and mid range nowadays. Slight better colors and whatnot neither have real hdr but the gl850 would be better if enabled. Noticable if you compared side by side but not enough to make or break a deal. I'd pay the 20$ for the 850 but I wouldn't blame anyone for saving the 20$ either.

Got this a couple years ago and love it! Upgraded from a 1080 144hz tn panel. What a difference! Whites are whiter. Extra resolution is great for screen real estate. I play loads of games on my PC. No issues. Highly recommend.

Good deal, but I ended up returning this monitor. The refresh rate is excellent for gaming, but if you're not a gamer, I would only get a 4K monitor. I found the dpi resolution terrible when using spreadsheets word documents, and just browsing the Internet.

What did you end up with? I need a new monitor with clear text for work. Is the poor image due to this monitor is it a qhd resolution thing?

The Panel is VA, not IPS like this deal. IPS is so much better than VA

For me 27" and 1440p is the perfect pixel density where I don't need scaling (which isn't well supported with everything) and things are not too pixelated.

This is a Great deal and a Great monitor, I have two of these on adjustable arms for my gaming pc setup and they are perfect to me. Great color great response time, perfect 👍🏽 for gaming and anything cad-
Plenty of features and extras.
Plenty of ports for all connectivity you need and want for a monitor like this.
No issues hitting 144 hz excellent response time.
9/10 from me..

I'm seeing chatter with a "deep sleep" issue on this model. Anyone have any insight?

I've been looking for a new gaming monitor in anticipation of Diablo 4 coming out next week. I had my eye on a few that are all similarly priced and all are rated very highly. Anyone with more experience care to chime in on if any of these are hands-down the one to go for? I'm considering them all close enough in price that it isn't a big factor in my purchase.

Edit: I'm not super picky on features. My current monitors are 24" 1080p, 60hz, non-gaming monitors from about 10 years ago. Looking for 27" 1440p, 120Hz or higher, great picture quality. I believe all the ones below would be suitable. Just curious if anyone has any input. If so, thanks!

Gigabyte M27Q - $300
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JWCHR5N

Gigabyte M27Q Pro - $292
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Z6VRX8F

LG UltraGear 27GL83A-B - $300
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YGZL8XF

HP X27q - $312
https://www.amazon.com/HP-27-inch...B0949KL83T

And of course I'm considering the one posted in this deal.

I am also in same boat. There's so many and Idk that much about monitors . On ps5 so looking for the same. Hope someone helps!

Does anyone think 1440p 144hz+ monitors will come down closer to $200 by Black Friday?

The Acer I initially referred to was $250 on sale at Microcenter. There are several versions on the XV272u.

I'm telling you, don't sleep on the Acer. Check out its ratings.

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...kvbmiiprzx

The Acer Nitro XV272U is excellent for gaming. It has incredibly low input lag, a high refresh rate, and exceptional response times, so gaming feels smooth and responsive. It supports FreeSync and is compatible with G-SYNC. Its ergonomics are excellent, which makes it easy to place the screen at a comfortable viewing position. It's not very well-suited for a dark room because it has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks look gray in the dark.

PROS
Large high-resolution screen.
170Hz refresh rate and exceptional response times.
Exceptional response times.
Very low input lag.
VRR support.
CONS
Mediocre contrast ratio.

Looks like I just missed it, unless I'm not seeing the deal. Thanks for the advice though. I'll set a deal alert for it. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will come back at that price soon.

Their naming convention could use a little work. The model name: XV272U KVbmiiprzx doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. It doesn't help that they have very similarly named models such as: XV272U W2bmiiprx

Just going to say I tried this monitor and the Acer Nitro XV272u is just a flat out better monitor. Look up how the LG struggles to play at 120hz properly on Xbox.

Not sure if this is the one the other post referred to, but this XV272U Vb is def worth a look over this LG for a next-gen console:

Acer Nitro XV272U Vbmiiprx 27" Zero-Frame WQHD 2560 x 1440 Gaming Monitor | AMD FreeSync Premium | Agile-Splendor IPS | Overclock to 170Hz | Up to 0.5ms | 95% DCI-P3 | 1 x Display Port & 2 x HDMI 2.0 https://a.co/d/cqbz3gK
