    Devices makes 0 sense. I can only charge the battery with USBC but then charge my devices with USBA? Wtf

    Seems decent but this type of device seems to assume that the wall chargers are USB-A, and that you'd then flip ends to charge a device (A connected to the battery pack and C to the device). Having one myself it makes thinking about which cable/charger to bring more complicated with chargers mostly C now. IMHO it's worth the simplification to just only have a single C-C cable, pack, and charger.

    It's the same damn cable you would use to charge the bank that you'd use to charge your phone anyway (unless iphone) so only one USB-A to USB-C cable!

    Most wall chargers have USB-A port on them (including iPhone) so:
    1. Wall charger USB-A > USB-C Power Bank
    2. unplug wall charger and flip the cable
    3. Power Bank USB-A > USB-C to Phone
    Done!

    Yes, C>C would be simpler but haven't seen USB-C to Lightning being commonly used to this makes it more versatile.
    I agree completely. Out of all the USB C devices (laptops, tablets, convertibles, phones, pocket cameras, etc) I own ZERO, exactly ZERO have shipped with a USB C to USB C cable. Heck, the single USB C to USB C cable I own had a USB C to USB A adapter on it.

    Quite a few devices, especially older devices or niche applications, actually don't communicate with their charger at all. Or they have sleep modes, etc, that will interrupt charging. Trickle charge basically tells the charger to keep charging going and current available, whether or not it's requested and whether or not the charger can detect a device plugged in. Also sometimes a device will discharge so deeply that it can't be revived at all by normal charging, but trickle charging can bring it back enough to resume regular charging.

    (Also btw quite a few power banks offer a trickle charge mode that's buried in the manual, if it's mentioned at all. Usually accessed by holding down the power button for a few seconds, then the lights or display or whatever will change to indicate the new mode.)

    PS> And the lack of USB C charging on this is stupid, despite people sharing anecdotes about how they've somehow fallen through the cracks. There are many power banks that show up in this price range that offer USB C charging plus regular USB A. Lacking an essential feature is not a feature.

    I have this and it works well, but I agree. I need to essentially bring one cord to charge this, and one to charge my iPhone. Still handy to have and it charges fast enough for me, but could be more convenient.

    You CAN charge devices with C, you just have to push a button first, then the C input becomes a C output.

    I understand the problems with the design, but at this price, it's worth it imo. I have multiple of these for a few members of my household.

    We have a charging hub with usb-c available to juice these up.

    Then we all keep a 1-ft usb-a to whatever cable attached to the output end.

    Not a hassle at all.

    With this model? No. I own 4 of them, and the product description is very clear that the c connection is input only.
    The button on the device shows you the charge status.

    Since we're on the topic I think one of the greatest ideas anker had was the USB c out to charge your device and the prongs to charge the power bank straight to the wall. Genius. Only need one cable

    I just got a non-brand-name one with 15k 4-5 star reviews on Amazon for $20, has external power display and QC3/PD USB-C (bidirectional) and 2 USB A ports. You're buying the name here, and this is 100% a promoted post.
