I'm sorry you were wrong, but it's time to let it go.

Per ASUS: https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/f.../techspec/
35.5 x 25.2 x 2.21 ~ 2.68 cm (13.98" x 9.92" x 0.87" ~ 1.06")
It's 1.06" at its thickest. It's 22% thicker than BB claims; 0.87" is probably the thickness with the screen up, or at the narrowest portion.

It's 0.78" to 0.99" for this particular model (probably due to a larger cooling rubber strip).
For other models in the same family:
https://psref.lenovo.co
0.78" to 0.86"
In both cases, the L5 slim is slimmer than the ASUS model by quite a bit (%-wise...7% to 19%).
I'm sure they're both fine machines, and I'd prefer the AMD GPU (better Linux support by a long shot...I have an L5 Pro with the 5800h + 3070 and the nVidia drivers on Linux are regrettable). I'm tempted to go for the ASUS model for that reason and sell mine.
