I've seen multiple threads where people ask for a zip code for an in-stock item so they can use it for DPP - but I still don't understand how that works. How does finding a single location that has a lower price listed through Brickseek help you file a price protection claim? Am I missing something really obvious?

Yes, you are. You have to search for that particular store on Walmart's search our shelves page and if the price appears, TADDA!

Yeah. The girl that refused to let me check the other 12-16 copies of Rise Of The Tomb Raider to see if any were the NON "limited edition"(aka the digipack cardboard packaging) looked like she had just gotten out of bed or was stoned. Maybe it was a combination of the two, as she had all the personality of a slug. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I'm actually okay with the stoners, they won't show much attitude because they're out of it (from what i've seen) and they'll comply and will search for things for me. They move slower but at least they seem to be making an effort.
The worst one I had was this woman who (after I had asked to open the glass display) immediately eyerolled at me and sighed. We went to the case and while she's opening it, leans her head back and lets out a huge sigh.
She finally opens the display and says "well? what?" in the rudest attitude/tone possible.
I take 10 seconds to look and again she says "what!?" and gives me a look like I had killed her grandmother. I wish I had a gif or photo to show you what it looked like but that's the only way I could describe it.

I understand working retail makes you bitter and stuff (i've worked it for years myself) but I was beyond polite and I am always friendly, why treat your friendly customers like shit?

I asked a couple of them if I could get X or Y out of a locked case. No response. They didn't even move. Then along comes a newbie who was all too eager to help.

I got home and did the survey on the receipt like they always want you to and mentioned the 3-4 guys standing around watching the TV while ONE guy helped customers. I mentioned the guy who helped me out by name. Next time I went to that store a manager was standing over these guys cracking the whip to make sure they're working. Ha ha

Sears, Kmart and even Circuit City were GREAT back in the day for not having gaming stuff properly marked. I remember even being accused of somehow hacking their system at the one Circuit City in NY state(Middletown area or so) because I kept picking games off the shelf that were marked full price($19.99 up to $49.99) that just happened to be 90% off of those prices.

I miss the gaming sections from Kmart and Sears and Circuit City altogether(minus the managers like the one I ran into above).

But at least Walmart finally realized what clearance pricing actually means after years of putting up $.03 off MSRP prices as 'clearance' on 10 year old games. Ha ha
