I wasn't disagreeing with you. They're mostly idiots in corporate and in-store, so why should online be any different? I dread ever dealing with my local CS and just ate the tax the 1st time around which was around $8 if I recall.

Anytime I ever tried to use a egift card, they required CSM approval and looked at me like I'm committing fraud. Thank god for WalMart Pay. Now while I'm there to pickup up a clearance item and want to use a discounted gift card for my everyday purchases, it's a breeze.

Yes, it is a mess. Good thing walmart has relatively low prices, otherwise we wouldn't even consider going there to deal with the CS.

The moment u post the zip, you will cause that store to go bust w the price. The long submission status will surely surpass that zips price! Just way too many scavenger here vs posting up real clearance items for purchase. Dpp should be in a separate thread. But, of course, the lazy will run back and forth between both threads asking for a hand hold.

It has become virtually impossible to get tax adjusted by calling or chatting. Last month I bought two laptops online for same-day pickup, with nearly $500 price difference between online and store. Sure enough, tax was not adjusted. I called several times, talked to several Tier 2 escalation specialists, and only the last one grudgingly refunded the taxes. In that last call, they read me an official list of states in which taxes get refunded -- in all other states if there is an adjustment, they do not refund the tax on the difference. My state was not on the list.

The first Tier 2 specialist actually gave me the email posted by veroniqueblade, and I thought he was just trying to get rid of me. Unbelievably, since then I have used the email twice, and both times the tax was refunded almost instantaneously.

I tried to get adjustment by calling first, but this went nowhere.I purchased my item in a store
50 miles away; after the refund processed on Walmart order page I printed the on-line
receipt with the lower price (half the original price) and the doubled tax and went to my
local Walmart store (which even did not have the item in their system) and showed them
the issue. They were actually understanding,processed a return and then sold the item
back to me with the correct tax.
By the way, I filed a claim with BBB, after which I got a call from corporate but they
insisted that there is nothing wrong in the way they process the price adjustment;
they offered
to credit the tax as a "courtesy".I said no (I already took care of the issue and I wanted them
to fix their system, not to offer me one time courtesy). I think it will take a lawsuit and a judge to make them change their billing system
(as I do not know of any other retailer who interprets the tax law the way Walmart does, I find
it hard to believe they can be right when they say they are required by sate laws to not refund
the tax).

Maybe it is one of those tax loop holes congress closes one eye on.
