That's likely why we're seeing some people having their cards cancelled and such now, since the company is seeing the pattern of people buying stuff and then almost immediately filing for $X back and sometimes on MULTIPLES of the same items.

There are already all those limits - $500 per item, up to 3 of the same item, $2500 total per year.

I really don't think Discover cares, I've seen successful PP's to items like TVs that were a penny on walmart's site. And I'm pretty sure a year or two ago they were advertising their price protection as a way to buy now and "skip the lines on black friday". The PP money paid out is chump change to them in the bigger picture.

Yeah it doesn't surprise me. Turned out good for you and the other guy, lol. Pretty sure they were just being shitty with me since I recently filed a couple other higher value claims.

l actually wanted this and was ready to pay $49 for one so it wasn't bad getting 3 for $25 each. I figured it was best to not press the issue too much and I can always use up the other $66.25 on something else before the end of the year.

Sad it had to come to this. Some people are straight shady and major cheap asses.

To the community: Almost 2 weeks ago I offered xlxllxlx $5 for the next best zip on the canary cam since I couldn't get approved for the lower price. He declined the payment & ran the script anyways. So it's not he was out to make money.

Don't blame them. They are getting paid the lowest wage possible and corporate management never trained them on these kind of problems (proper training costs more money).

Ya I know, low paid employees honestly don't care or aren't trained properly. Still extremely annoying when it happens ALL the time.

LOL.

I worked there 10 or so years ago for a couple winters when I was roofing. I already was operating the machinery in the back room and unloading trucks, but while I was there management came down with some new "policy" that anyone operating these had to be "certified".

The training was a 5 minute slide called a "CBL". After that, I printed it out and signed it and I was magically "certified" to operate all the machinery, lol. As was everyone else who never even attempted to use them.

it isn't pulling up in the app at that low of a price, once mine is approved for the $50 I found or at least get me a chance to submit it I will share the zip code on here

Yeah I got lucky the first go round with online chat and got one that had half a brain and forwarded my issue to them.
