Also for those who are asking. Credit card refunds are difficult to process needa l2 managers as the orders are closed the moment u pickup the order. Gift card refunds easy to process by the agents. But don't screw up these deals just for taxes. If you really want taxes after u pickup the item go to returns center tell then u were charged extra return and rebuy the item. I did this many times with out any issues. Since the difference wont be much and item price is what u actually paid they don't make a scene there. But going through phone calls/emails is complicated process and if it goes to higher management there is a chance that management may remove this store clearance/pricing concept

yea I just ate the tax in the 6-7 pickup today orders I posted. not worth $50-100 total considering each item was over that in savings lol

Maybe they will find another way to do clearance but they won't eliminate the clearance system all together. It is part of the the law of supply & demand and the foundation of microeconomics.

hes saying you are potentially screwing up these deals by making a big fuss over tax. If walmart decides to stop doing this type of clearance all together because of too many tax complaints we are screwed

So I ordered one of the chargriller kamados 14 days ago for $69. When I ordered it, it told me same day pick up. It then hung as processing for 8 days, then I got an email saying it was delayed.

4 days ago I got an email that the order is ready for pickup. The store is an hour away, so I'm debating if it's worth it to drive, if I'll still get it for the same price. Brickseek still shows it at the same price, but with limited stock.

I know normally, when it's online and it says same day when you order the price adjusts. It was same day when I ordered and the order email also says estimated pickup later today. I guess either it wasn't in stock or it took forever to find, but will it still adjust in this instance?

if open your order you can check if it's shipped from warehouse or not(if you don't see shipped stage). if it's shipped then not worth. its full price

thanks, looks like it shipped from a distribution center. i'm gonna cancel. does it then go back into that stores circulation for the clearance price?

To think the "clearance system as a whole" will be destroyed because someone "complained" about being charge the correct sales tax rate (which after all is a simple math calculation.. shouldn't be that hard). I think your braincells might have gone on clearance.

It is people with such mentality who allow companies like Walmart to screw customers.

Anyway, the tax issue has a simple solution: each time you buy something on-line for
pickup,and the store has the item in stock for a lower price, when you go to pick-up
the item cancel the on-line order and buy it directly from the store (it will be several days
before you get your money back though, as Walmart.com charges customers right
after the order is placed).
