I really wish BB would sell the 16GB variants. 8GB is ok for most use cases, but anyone working with RAW photos will quickly wish they had more memory.

Was anyone lucky enough to get this on a sapphire or freedom? I have like 8 chase cards and only got the 10% offer on my debit card... 😂

As another poster said, not sure if this extra $35 off is worth missing out on extra 2 years of extended warranty from say the Citi Costco card (bc I'd be using debit. y'all sapphire ppl who got it are lucky!)

Apparently it's 2 years, and yes! It's through Citi not Costco, so it covers any purchase in general. https://thepointsguy.com/guide/be...-warranty/

Generally it's an amazing perk for appliances purchased at Costco as it gives 2+2 years of extended warranty with use of this card.

where do you buy online now that still lets you escape sales tax? no sales tax is the rare exception now.

If you live in a state without sales tax like Oregon or Delaware. Delaware mall is swarming with out of state tax dodgers 😀

My 2012 MacBook Pro still works like it's brand new. I just wish I could get the new macOS updates. I might have to upgrade.

Had this since earlier this year. Got it for $899 from BH...
Very capable laptop for the price.
Crisp display.
Quick boot-up.
It took a few weeks for me to get used to the OS coming from Windows but after this adjustment period, this was a none issue.

For a regular joe like myself who doesn't do heavy gaming, rendering, photos, etc., this M1 based MBA will be fine for years to come.

I just got sick of going through cheaper Windows based laptop every 3~4 years and now crossed over to the dark side, I meant Cupertino side.

Sounds like average Macs have much longer lifespan than Windows based machines.

Are you saying if you use this offer you don't get any of the CC benefits?

Because Apple is a horrid company and they solder the storage onto the motherboard so that it's not user-serviceable. You have to overbuy because you can't upgrade RAM or storage in the future (RAM is part of the m1 SoC).
It is easy to hate on Apple but…This is the norm with basically every laptop maker putting out a thin and light laptop. Razer, HP, Dell, etc. All of the MacBook Air competitors don't have upgradable RAM and/or storage.

Highschooler that needs Mac book air? Unless he/she in an advance art design school, why would a high schooler need Mac air? How about a $200 Lenovo Chromebook? Just a though since I have a highschooler myself and he never needed anything more especially as it could easily disappear. To each his own though.
Well some people prefer Apple, but even then no need to spend extra. I got my son who is a senior this upcoming school year a used 2017 MBA for $300 and it works like a champ running Big Sur.
