This is listed as a Best Buy Deal of the Day so price may only be good for August 27, 2021.
For those who prefer Seagate, Costco has their 5TB portable drives at a very similar price right now.

I have a question. Can I set up two partitions to have the first 2.5 TB be exfat and then the rest used for Xbox games back up(instead of formatting the entire drive)?
Seagate has the 6TB expansion drives for a little more.
Most likely a SMR drive.

Just grab an older Seagate (Samsung HDD) off eBay for Xbox (2gb - STDR2000103, STDR2000101). You'll pay $60, but you'll get a good non-SMR drive.

You may be right. I'll keep this for retro games backup and media and invest in an external ssd/nvme solution for the consoles

I much prefer Seagate to WD! Especially these specific WD's. I've gone through a ton of these external drives over the last decade, from 500GB to 16TB, usually buying 2x at a time and mirroring content. Of about 30 drives, 2 WD's were the only ones to ever die (one of the bulky MyBook drives and one of these (either a MyPassport or EasyStore). I've got one of these WD easy store's right now that is picky about which USB cable it will boot up on.
Seagate gets a bad rep but it's always been my preference. The fail rate of these in general is low enough (especially when buying in pairs) that I tend to go with whatever has the best deal at the time.
Another benefit on the Seagate are the boxy design that make it easy stack opposed to these more rounded EasyStore's, but I know everyone has a preference
