I really wish BB and Costco didn't just offer the base RAM spec models - I really need one with 16GB RAM and it seems like those are only on Apple.com and are never discounted (except education/military, which aren't as good as this discount). Similar to how they never discount the LTE iPads.

I really wish BB and Costco didn't just offer the base RAM spec models - I really need one with 16GB RAM and it seems like those are only on Apple.com and are never discounted (except education/military, which aren't as good as this discount). Similar to how they never discount the LTE iPads.

1) 16GB models are limited in stock.
2) Base model low price is used to enter people into the ecosystem, in this market the consumer may go with a different laptop if price isn't as low, but at higher specs you're more likely to still purchase the MBA even at a higher marginal price.
