True but the 12600K is at $280 right now so that's a $55 difference plus it's 125W TDP and no stock cooler so if you are building on a budget (which most of these cpus are for) you have to add that cost as well so now you are looking at a hundred bucks which could go towards RAM or an NVME.

Finally, cheaper than Microcenter. But, can't beat Microcenter's extra $50off promotion expire at the end of this month.

New builds should go 12400 in this price range. Upgrading an AM4 rig then this is a good price. There's a reason I went all AM4 in my house since 2017. Moved around a 1600AF, 3100, 3600, 3700X and more recently a 5600G for the kid's computer.

My mobo maxes out at rudeness 3xxx compatibility. Worth finding a 3600x or getting this 5600x with new mobo

Thanks. It showed up in stock again at my store too. Unfortunately that store is over an hour away from me, so I'm not sure if it's worth returning my Newegg unit to save $45. I also got the coupon for the 5800x, so I may not be able to get the coupon for the 5600x. I guess I may give it a shot, though.

I would imagine the manager would allow you to apply the coupon to the 5600x if the 5800x is out of stock. I suggest getting in touch with them before making the trek out. Good luck!

Not sure when you bought yours but I got mine from Newegg on 2/1 and talked to customer service this morning requesting a refund on the difference. Took a little back and forth (since my 14 day price match window passed and this code expired last night at midnight) but ended up getting the difference back in refund. Keyword used was asking for a one time courtesy as a loyal customer. Best of luck to you!

Unfortunately I was shot down on this request. Was told that they don't PM Microcenter, and that the CPU was not eligible for PM anyway.
I did not even try the "loyal customer" angle, as I've only bought 2 things from MC in the last 7-8 years.
