You do you bro. No need to come in the thread and explain yourself. Nobody buys a mac for gaming.

Productivity is very subjective. Old school .exes, you're better off with Windows, but if you're not living in the 90s, most things run in a browser these days.

i got one of my open box ones from BB and it is prestine. 1 with 2 battery cycles the other with 3. however, one of them have a saved wifi that says bbydemo - does that mean this unit was in fact a demo unit?? seems too clean for that to be the case combined with the charge cycle counts.

Maybe they're from a state that doesn't have sales tax and they aren't used to it?

Pro 14 is more superior than Air (fans, 120hz mini led display, more ports (hdmi, sd card), aesthetic ( blackout keyboard), better speakers & microphone).

If I go with M2 Air 24GB RAM / 512 SSD with educational discount and $150.00 give card it comes to the same price $1600. I am thinking that would help running Dockers / VM's than 16GB on Pro.

Think positively, you can use free bbydemo wifi in the future!

You can check the smart info and see the disk power time, that's better indicator for demo unit vs power cycles.

Certified open box is available at $1474 if anyone is interested.
Mine came brand new for this price, original plastic seal and everything. Not a bad deal at all!

Just came across from reddit after smn mentioning $1600 - went fast on our SD.
Did the math: was about to settle on M2/16/512 for $1480-$150 GC, but this deal was even better, since it is cheaper than Apple by $100 ($1850-$150).
Applied for BB credit card and instantly got 2K to cover the laptop. 5 min later purchased it.
Total price: $1600-$240(15% promo for BB credit card openers) = $1360. At least 1 positive note about living in 0% tax place while everything else is pretty meh.

Just picked a 14 inch up. Might return this one and get a 16 inch. I have 60 days to return this 14 inch. If the price changes on the 16 inch within 60 days I'll keep the 14 inch.
Go big or go home.

I've been contemplating on buying the 16" for months because of price. Even with 400 off, the 1tb version is still $2200.

My Honda isn't worth that much. Lol
