Made those programs use the nvidia geforce gtx but same issue. Also those programs automatically use the nvidia as oppose to the intel hd graphics.
Same issue being what? High cpu and gpu usage in task manager?

Tested it a while back. The gpu percentage does get a bit high on pokerstars and desktop windows manager when playing shows on task manager, thus the lag and freezing issues. Again, this happens when i am playing a lot of tables... other players have complained of same issues and their laptops is most likely faster than mine etc. The cpu doesn't get very high but my laptop logs and freezes when playing when having these programs on and playing lot of tables.

Both the pokerstars and that holdem manager program uses the nvidia graphics card when you look at task manager.

using the tool you recommended, it appears to be 5 hours which is good and doesn't indicate it to be an actual demo

however, it shows 130 power cycle count. is this a normal figure?
It is completely normal. Read their FAQs, the SSD power cycle count is different from battery power cycle count.

So then you could get a faster CPU/GPU combo (anything on the shelves nowadays with discrete CPU plus nVidia 3050 or AMD 6600 will be vastly faster than what you have) to try, or you could find forums for your software and ask people what they're successfully using.

Aren't most laptops that have the 3050 or better most likely a gaming laptop?

Marketing terms; you can call it anything you like. What matters is what CPU and GPU are in the machine.

Ok, just picked one up in NJ… great deal. While I was there, I saw 15% back unlimited with an instore credit card sign up - valid for same day purposes. Already had my order in or I would have gone for it. YMMV.

Depends how they want to market it. This one for example seems to be marketed to creators, the same way Macs generally are.

I was lucky to get a open box excellent @1457. It only had 3 cycles on the battery and works fine and was able to add apple care+ and thanks again.

15% back offer is only for the store card and not the visa variant? While ordering online using my BB visa card I just see 5%

Just came across from reddit after smn mentioning $1600 - went fast on our SD.
Did the math: was about to settle on M2/16/512 for $1480-$150 GC, but this deal was even better, since it is cheaper than Apple by $100 ($1850-$150).
Applied for BB credit card and instantly got 2K to cover the laptop. 5 min later purchased it.
Total price: $1600-$240(15% promo for BB credit card openers) = $1360. At least 1 positive note about living in 0% tax place while everything else is pretty meh.
Did you get the 15% off shows up instantly while ordering? Any idea when the rewards would be credited? Aren't apple products excluded from getting rewards?

Where do you see the 5% off when ordering online?
