It's worth $600 alone for DIRAC alone, which is typically a $300 license. So you're getting a 9.2 receiver for $300, and the best auto calibration software in the market. Anyone with an entry level Yamaha or Denon should be jumping on this.

Expect it from a receiver that has $1299 retail price. Also expect to find it at a big discount if you're looking here.
Phew - almost bought it expecting preouts because I have an older Onkyo that had preouts - also not the premium Onkyos. I just want the processing capabilities and use it with external amps to drive all possible channels it can decode

Instead of or in addition to the receiver built-in Dirac Live Full Bandwidth correction, can I use the Dirac Live app on Apple Store ?
I downloaded the app, but its asking me to login or maybe get paid subscription?
Thanks for any help.

I never realized how lucky I was to have a Micro Center because I lived 10 minutes away from one from when it opened in 2002. I used to buy from New Egg, but in 2009 I built an entire rig solely from MC because even with sales tax it was still several hundred dollars cheaper. Last two rigs have been sourced from multiple places because there's simply too much variance in pricing.
You are lucky. Never move lol. I was looking to upgrade my mobo and CPU, because intel famously loves to say "well, you want a new CPU, get a new mobo while you're at it". I was traveling to Texas for work. I was seriously considering going to the microcenter in Texas and stuffing it in my backpack lol. Pretty desperate if you can't tell.

Is Adorama reputable? I don't understand why they are selling this model for so much less than all the other sellers. The next lowest price is nearly double at $999 at Crutchfield.

Are there any red flags? Warranty issues? Has to be a catch, right?!

Is adorama reputable? Stick your head back in the sand. They have been around for 3 decades beating merchant pricing for years. Wow.

I just got a pioneer vsx-lx505. I think it may be defective, hdmi loses signal, tried new cables too. I only have 5.1. Adamora seems to be out of stock. Is this a good options, it's also less $. Thoughts, or do I just save the money and get through lx305. I'll never need the 11 channel capability. Thx.
I just got the same vsx-lx505. I have the same hdmi issue. Takes forever to work when ya change input. Screen flashes. Then just audio. Does it about 10x. After it finally connects. It's fine.

Mine...3-5 times per hour it'll lose the handshake and come tight back. Annoying. Then I have to hit play again if I'm on Netflix. Idk what to do.

If you have the firestick or Nvidia shield, it causes CEC issues, even with CES disabled on each of the settings on the devices. Unplug them and see if it still causes issues. If you have narrowed it down to the device and CEC being the culprit, get a CEC-less hdmi adapter (exact name on Amazon). It strips the CEC from the device. Didn't try it yet tho.

I happen to have a firestick on hdmi5. Roku and Xfinity on 2 others. You think.....cause I could run the firestick off an input on the TV if that'll solve it. Only thing I have to figure out now is why I can't get arc to return audio lol. I was gonna go back to the old setup but couldn't get that to work either! This is an interesting post, where did you hear about the firestick thing???

I read it on AVSForums, lots have the same issue so naturally found it easily. I unplugged my Firestick and for 1 week, no signal loss. Whereas with the Firestick plugged it, I also got it 3-5 times per hour. If I were you, I would unplug the Firestick, if it still does it, work your way to the Roku and Xfinity and see who's the bad boy.

What TV do you have? Just want to make sure your TV supports eArc and not just Arc

It's a Samsung q65. Few years old. Not sure if it's earc vs regular. Hmmm I'll check that out. Great tip. I'll try. Was it the same thing.....just plugged in even if not in use, just being there....that's crazy. I'm gonna give it a whirl. Other thing I hate is when on Roku.....when I go from say Netflix to say Amazon it'll click like I'm changing sources but I'm not. Separate thing I noticed.

The clicking is normal because resolution, video codec, something, is changing going from one service to the other. The receiver might be switching something up. Also, when you find out if you have eArc or Arc, just know that if you have Arc, connect your devices to the receiver, and then the receiver to the TV. Arc has lower bandwidth and you won't be getting the maximum audio quality. eArc however, no problems having things connected to the TV first, and then running the TV to the receiver last. eArc is a lot more advanced and you can send bigger bandwidth to the receiver.

Just looked. Label says arc so assuming not earc but it should still return audio at some level. If I only use it for the few times I use the firestick that's fine but I didn't have luck when I tried it last week. I'll have to keep playing. If I get no dropout on Xfinity and Roku and so what we discussed I'd be satisfied. I want to get the best audio I can outta my new receiver by going from source to pioneer if at all possible for 2/3 items.
