I removed it from my cart, used the SD link once again, and added it to the cart, the second time it said, "Sold and Shipped by Walmart" "New". Delivery: 11 Jul.
I don't know why. but I'm expecting New.
I also got the 3-year Walmart plan for $79, which is worth it since I'm getting this to replace a damaged one. Good luck to all.

I'll speak up. I had an 8GB M1 that ran perfectly. Anything I threw at it, perfectly. I did all the basics and some pretty tame image editing. Gave the laptop to my dad a year ago, no complaints from him either.
I think the right way to think about this is.. 8GB is fine for most people. If you know you need more, then you already know you need more, but don't be FOMO'd into buying more if you don't have a specific use-case that requires 16GB. You'll be fine.
Lots of apps open and lots and lots of browser tabs (like me)? You'll make do, but wish you had more RAM. LOTS of beach balls o' death.
Lots of music, video files, messages, different apps, maybe a few games (or something big like World of Warcraft)? You'll wish you had a bigger hard drive VERY QUICKLY, but you'll make do. Delete game to play another game, download other game, wash rinse repeat.
It is severely constrained, but you'll love the battery life and power. Great little underspec'd box that's an AMAZING deal at this price. Webcam is weak, but you will enjoy the screen and speakers. Bought one for college kid yesterday.
Just be prepared to close your tabs and keep a LOT of files in the cloud until you need them.

I think Apple ARM devices are today more optimized than Windows (and Linux) devices are for ARM devices. But I think it's just a matter of time until windows and Linux are optimized.
