These are absolutely fantastic for home or light professional use. I own 3 sets as a handyman.

confirmed. There wasn't any signage at my HD but buying the kit with the XC5.0 battery took off an extra $99 to make the battery free. Return value of the kit is $115 and the battery is $64.

Another deal to be had on the XC5.0 battery is to buy that with the 2 pack of the XC3.0 as the same deal applies. Returning the XC3.0s will get the XC5.0 down to $44.
So the 3.0 2-pack set and 5.0 have to be purchased in store for this deal? No HD has the 3.0 set in store at least in my area. That's a ship to store item. So the deal only works for stores that have both items at the store?

*Edit* I was looking at the CP not the XC. Make sure you look for the XC version

This the set you want. You can't beat this price. Way better quality than Ryobi, I got rid of that junk.

The title should say FUEL.

I think the people calling this underpowered didn't click the link and only read the title. The non-FUEL, sure, but the M12 FUEL of these two are absolute beasts. On a construction site they save a ton of weight which is great, and go harder than you should be driving anyway. The ONLY limiter in that scenario is you'll need to change batteries more, which could be annoying, but for awkward spaces or above your head M12 FUEL is superior to M18 FUEL due to size/weight.

If you're a drywaller or roofer, you want specialized tools regardless (i.e. even the M18 FUEL isn't ideal). You're a framer maybe own an M12 FUEL for those niche jobs. For other trades or residential this is a great buy, and you likely won't ever upgrade.

I'd jump on this one, but bought in on the Skil 12v system when Lowes was almost giving them away a few weeks ago. Really solid and capable tools.
Not sure I'm missing anything more than the big "M" lots of head to head comparisons on YT that show the Skil being very competitive.

Based on the display (has one of their easy tear off stickers they typically use for when the price will drop a day later) yes, you are correct, the price is going back to $229.
