The ergonomics on these are the worst. The drill grip is thicker than the m18 fuel version. One would think that being an m12 would be a smaller drill, more compact in all aspects, it is compact in most aspects but for some reasons the designers thought that it would be a good idea to make the pistol grip thicker.
This is probably due to the battery cells being stored in the handle of the drill. Needed enough space to shove them in there… that being said I have large hands so the ergonomics are good for me. Maybe try the skil 12v they are very comfortable but less compact overall

Sweet find OP!
Just went to my local HD and had just seen your post. Got the deal for $119 without having to buy the XC 5.0 and return it. Automatically rang up discounted.

Considering getting this for home use. Had to recently buy a 1/2 inch drill bit to install something and forgot I didn't have anything other 3/8" max drill, and i couldn't wait for delivery of a reduced shank .I considered getting this to have a 1/2" chuck for drilling and a better bag for tools. Is it worth even spending when i already bought this earlier last year for a deal? I feel like what I have covers most of my use case already to DIY.

So you've already purchase the 3/8" 4in1 drill driver & would like to know if this would be necessary? Probably not as a regular homeowner, 1/4" shank is lite duty, 3/8" is everyday use & 1/2" is heavy duty.
I mostly use my 4in1 for woodworking/cabinetry. That being said I personally think this is a great combo kit & for the price you can't go wrong, the 5.0 is the best battery in the m12 eco system if u ask me. If u don't already have a good set id jump on this today since it ending especially w/ future tariffs down the pipeline who know how pricing will be. I didn't need it but purchased it & very happy I did lol so. Some people don't like the 4in1 but I think its an amazingly great tool

I think people just don't grip the 4in1 correctly, remember to grip it high & keep your index finger extended along the barrel for stability/balance & use the first crevice of your middle finger on the trigger like your going to fake shoot someone lol, the top/back portion of that gun should rest in that U shape made by your hand between your thump and index finger, your thumb will want to either rest high covering the letters "aukee" or low covering the "EL" in fuel depending at what angle your drilling. This will adjust the center of gravity on the gun making it much more comfortable & stabile

This is perfect for house hold and professional like electrician or plumbing. Not for heavy duty like construction. It get you to m12 eco system and in my opinion best 12v eco system currently
People use these for construction all the time

This is inaccurate. Just bought the 3.0 2 pack and 1x 5.0 deal for $79. Returned the 3.0 2 pack for $35.06, so got the 5.0 High Output for $43.94 + tax.

Promo signage is already marked with the higher prices, but the system still has the discount. Lower prices are still marked on the shelves.

Check out the store in Campbell.

Associate pulled both batteries from behind the cage, walked straight to self checkout, scanned my items, and responded with "wow, that's a good deal".

Thanks, OP! Repped when you originally posted this deal. Surprise you're not getting more reps for this..

Just worked for me in-store on 2/1/25 at ~10:00 AM. (No signage, but rang up right away and the receipt has the "returnable value for the kit and the 5.0 battery)

I've been waiting for this deal to come back for a few months. Still debating on keeping the battery or not.

Thanks, OP. Great post!

Definitely keep the 5.0 at this price. There are tools in the M12 line that require it as it reduces voltage sag, more notably the gen2 stubby impact.
