I bought the same deal 2 years ago. It's $200 with tax. I kept the kit and ratchet.

I just ordered this and the online order bundled the combo kit and ratchet. Will I have any issues if i return it right there and then?

Did the hack using the free battery and got it for $164. Great price. Wish it was the fuel ratchet I would have kept it.

It's even cheaper than the previous battery "hack" but I'll still pass. They're just too weak, and not even that much smaller than modern 20V. No surprise DeWalt dropped the 12V line, the 20V tools have gotten so compact there's barely any size or weight advantage anymore, especially with the new 1.7Ah PowerStack DeWalt batteries. I think 12V lines have every chance of going extinct in the near future with such technological development
Got a set and they're good for a regular DIYer, make sure it's the Fuel . I have M18 set as well and those are HD. This deal is pretty good, bought mine $150ish last BF.

Anything good for a regular DIYer. I'd argue that Ryobi is a king 👑 for such use cases

Can I just pick them up at a store and return the ratchet right there?

If your receipt doesn't show separate pricing (per item) then you didn't do something right. Never had an issue with it otherwise. Good luck.

If you have more than one tool or whatever, the real thing is the battery platform and if your batteries are interchangeable. Quality is the thing if you use them a lot. I can understand grabbing the Ryobi, etc for the savings with the caveat the batteries match the tools.

It's a nice set. I have the same tools in the M18 platform, but I tend to grab these more than anything. I grab the big guns on the job only when I need the extra ass.

Team yellow checks in. I have a contractor friend (younger guy) that is 100% Dewalt. I think they even brand his underwear Wink

But, he likes using my m12 tools and respects them for the ass to usability they provide, especially for the quick tasks.

We have a lot of fun TBH.
