Hue products have been on clearance for a while. Got 3 color starter kits (3rd gen) back in March for $10 each after PP.

I don't post for the leechers much anymore, but since I'm maxed out on most Hue PPs, here's the best that's out there right now. Unfortunately not as good as it used to be since Walmart started hiding the price on significantly discounted items.

It does if you're slick about it. First off, these items are clearance and most(if not all) retailers DO NOT price match clearance.

Moreover, Walmart seems averse to matching the price of their own stores even if it's a non clearance price.

Best bet is to go in, return the item(s), don't mention the lower price AT ALL. Then come back about 20-25 minutes later and see if they're still at customer service. If they are, find them and ask if you can re-buy them as you changed your mind.

Either that OR as long as it's not a HUGE price difference ask them if you can simply switch payment methods as you want to put them on a credit card you have to get reward points(or get it OFF a credit card by paying cash or with debit). If they notice the price difference, say something like 'oh it must be on sale'. Wink

I received a response from Walmart regarding the $30 sales tax that was not refunded when I did a site to store pickup.

Here is the response from a Walmart Sr. Executive Escalations Specialist "Unfortunately, the state law of Michigan advises us that when there is a partial refund the sales tax is not refunded. The only way you can be refunded sales tax is if you return the item for a full refund."

Is this true? I have never heard of a law like this although I am not a tax expert. Should I just do a chargeback and let Visa deal with it?

Someone in that title works in the office of the CEO, and in my experience they seem to be incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I'm willing to bet that the information given is accurate. Print the email and go into store and explain why you need to do the return and rebuy and I think they will allow it given the email you will present.

I would do that if the store wasn't an hour away and I won't going back anytime soon. The store a couple miles from my house is still full price. I guess I could wait for a price drop.

I just got a call back from the manager at the store and they are refunding the $30 sales tax overcharge. Evidently the system is not programmed to refund taxes for site to store price adjustments. The lesson learned is to get the excess tax refunded before leaving the store. That is the easiest way to avoid any problems.

This is why I never waste my time on deals if they're outside of my local area anymore. I have FOUR Walmart stores within 20 miles of me. Anything at a store outside of that range isn't worth the travel time, gas and frustration anymore. I know because I tried for a couple deals that ended up being a wild goose chase, in particular very cheap Playstation Vita memory cards(talking $3-4 for a 16 GB, $5-6 for a 32 GB). Mad

Luckily I was in the area for another reason or it would've really frustrated me that Brickseek and other stock checkers showed multiple of each while the store employees 'couldn't find them'.
