Productivity is very subjective. Old school .exes, you're better off with Windows, but if you're not living in the 90s, most things run in a browser these days.

Will the performance be slower than compared to a mac? Also would you need to pay for windows? I heard it is windows parrallel so it isn't windows 10 ior 11?
Do some people use it as a macbook and sometimes as windows? Could you sometimes log in via mac and other times windows?
If you install windows parallel, does that mean this computer will act exactly as a windows machine and you can download any program that is windows compatible?
How is the battery if you use it as windows compared to mac? Is it a lot worst?

10 core and 1TB vs. 8 core and 512GB for $100 more is worth in my opinion.

For others, it might require shipping charges though (anywhere between $12.33 and $29.34).
Basically the issue was that when you had an external monitor attached, and didn't close the lid, the GPU would use a minimum of 18W (it should idle lower than 10W). This would cause the fans to be excessively loud constantly. It's been suspected to be a driver issue, and they partially fixed it in Monterey. If you have your external monitor at 60Hz refresh rate it shouldn't happen. It still happens when you have the refresh rate higher or lower than 60Hz. Using an eGPU is a workaround for the problem.
I can't remember whether Windows (Boot Camp) has the same problem.

[Please note this is an opinion] I don't think that's why people are selling 16" MBP2019s for cheap. I think it has a lot more to do with the fact that Intel is last-gen, the ARM chips are cheap and a LOT faster, etc. I'd have a hard time investing in Intel Macs now that the ARM bits are here and cheap.

Macbook strengths? Battery life, noise and heat.. but no doubt about which gives you more bang for your buck.
Fast forward 3 years later.. the 3070 in the laptop not fast enough for you anymore? Egpu through thunderbolt 4 will give you more gpu power.. oh,acbpok has a tb4 port? Too bad it doesn't support egpu!
$1599, outperforms $3k macbook, yeah.....
Face it unless you are a video editor, or music creator who absolutely needs a silent laptop, or really will be away from a power outlet for 10 hpurs straight, more than 5 days a year, then you are paying a premium for less

I did end up paying ~$10 for shipping and had to pay sales tax as well. Even if I managed to price match the OG deal to a no tax retailer it still comes out to only $200 more or so for additional cores and a larger storage capacity.
